Yet another Gurley offer

Postby Farley » Wed Mar 06, 2019 9:53 pm

Really worried about Gurley's knees. Have just received an offer. Is this panicking too much?

Have no early picks this year.
12 team league - ppr - start 1QB, 2Rb, 2WR, 1TE, 2 Flex
Roster:
Luck, Brady
Gurley, Zeke, Mixon, D. Lewis
AB, Thielen, Cooks, Edleman, Fitz, Kirk, Washington
Cook, McDonald

Send:
Gurley and CJ Anderson

Get:
Ridley, McKinnon, 2.03, 2.04, 2.12

Obviously it's a percentage of what we could have gotten for Gurley a couple weeks ago. Is it reasonable value now though?

I was by far the first one on these boards to be down on Gurley and saying to sell(and I got bleep on and trolled incessantly here it), but even I think this is a bit light on value for GurleyZ If there were a 1st in the mix instead of all those 2nds I would be much happier and it would be closer, or if it were a better and safer back than McKinnon
Team 1
10 team .5 PPR, 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1Flex

QB: Brees, Cousins
RB: McCaffery, Guice, D Williams, Breida, Drake, Penny, S Ware, R Jones, J Adams, I Smith
WR: A Brown, Jeffery, Robinson, Ridley, Pettis, Miller, Shepard, Callaway, MVS, Washington
TE: Kelce, Herndon

Picks:
2019 1.10, 2.10, 3.10, 4.10
2020 1, 2, 3, 4

Not even close, imo. I would at “least” need a star player at RB or WR coming back plus at least a 1st round pick of some sort. Ridley is the only player that I would even be interested in and the rest are just dart throws.

Not remotely close. Not even confirmed that he has arthritis. That offer is a joke.

What are people willing to give up for Gurley right now? Those who think this offer is way off, are you trying to buy Gurley right now? What have you bought him for? Obviously his value is currently at an all-time low.

Are there any historical examples of successful running backs with knee arthritis?

I can't think of one.

How about examples of guys receiving stem cell treatment and returning at close to 100% production level?

I can think of Knowshon Moreno, Jamaal Charles, and Chris Johnson. All of whom were recovering from an injury, as opposed to a chronic condition. Charles and Johnson were towards the tail-end of their careers and were shells of their former selves.

Again, that offer isn't close. I see you going around shouting the sky is falling for Gurley, that's fine, I'll buy for that price listed above 10 times out of 10. No confirmation on Gurley's issues, and I think someone should hold a top RB over offers like this every time. There are cutting edge treatments in Europe, not yet approved by the FDA, too, he could seek. I stand by what I said.

Light and don't do it. Gurley will still be a big part of team just not 100% the guy anymore.
To many leagues to put all teams on here.

Just a big thanks and DLF rules
