DJ Moore, WR, Carolina: Worried about Robby Anderson?
Re: Tell me about .... Dj Moore
He had to catch passes from 4 different QB in his senior year. Wasnt a product of a good QB necessarily. Good to know with where he was drafted
Re: Tell me about .... Dj Moore
Thanks guys, basically what you see him being? Talent wise could he be a WR1 but it may just be the system that holds him back from that or is it more likely he could be a Wr2? Is he a big TD guy? Big play or PPr Asset? That kind of stuff. Thank you.

Believe that was a few years ago lol

He's likely to be like Stefon Diggs or Steve Smith ... great RAC & speed to go over the top. Unlikely to be a major a RZ target, but I could see him approaching double digit TDs occasionally.Weknownothing86 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 11:36 am Thanks guys, basically what you see him being? He has the talent to be a WR1 but Cam will likely always limit him to a WR2 status.
Re: Tell me about .... Dj Moore
The only routes he ran with a success rate significantly above the NCAA average were slants, screens, and hitches. Only one of those is legitimately a route.
He has potential, but he's very raw. I'm guessing he'll need to incubate for years. Fortunately, he's young for a rookie, so there's time.
I also worry that Newton isn't good enough a passer to create fantasy WR1s, and only rarely WR2s.

DJ does not even have his associates in route running. They do not seem to be scheming him touches so I guess we'd need a CMC injury for him to be relevant rn.Forza_Azzurri wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 2:28 pm He's likely to be like Stefon Diggs or Steve Smith ... great RAC & speed to go over the top. This is also the 2nd year in a row after they take Curtis Samuel where the coaches act as if they've never seen college tape of their own player. Clueless how to use their own talent.
Real Talk - DJ Moore
55 rec
788 yards
14.3 yards per reception
172 rushing yards
960 combined yards receiving and rushing
1,111 all purpose yards (if you include return yards)
only 2 TDs
21 years old
I love this kid. During weeks 10-14 he was the WR 10 until Cam couldnt throw anymore. Early on he was my favorite WR in the class and he cemented himself there by seasons end. If he were coming out in this class I think I would take Harmon and possibly Harry over him at WR depending on landing spot. Assuming Cam is healthy (which it seems he will be, shoulder injury was just scar tissue cleanup and not as bad as originally feared), what is DJ Moore's year 2 ceiling? Could he possibly hit 1,200 yards receiving and say 8 TDs? Or is that unrealistic?
What is everyone's realistic expectations of him in year 2? Or beyond?

YAC monster. I don't think 1200 is in his sights this season, but year 3 I could see it. He's clearly talented. He needs a lot more targets than the 80ish he got this year if he's going to get anywhere near that.

Re: Real Talk - DJ Moore
Could the explanation of his lack of targets be due to early on he was raw and hadnt earned the playtime yet, then in the last few games Cam couldn't throw?

It would have been cool if you titled it "Reel Talk" and then posted a bunch of highlight clips

Yes. I think they began to get him more involved as the year went along. Funchess became an afterthought. I think next year he pushes 1000. Let's not forget he had almost 200 yards on the ground his rookie year, too.

I'm not that creative. But his highlight reel is ridiculous.Dynasty DeLorean wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 8:41 pm It would have been cool if you titled it "Reel Talk" and then posted a bunch of highlight clips
Re: Real Talk - DJ Moore
His route/TD vs Slay Jr and his sideline catch vs Lattimore were absolutely insane. Its such a shame that Cam had that injury right when the offense was peaking.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 8:43 pmYes. I think they began to get him more involved as the year went along.
