I pick #2.
QB/2RB/3WR/TE/Flex/SuperFlex
TE get 1.5 PPR, all other players are PPR
12 team league. Empire league (dynasty league that ends after someone wins twice in a row)
At 1.02, I’m going with either Barkley or Gurley, as both are studs who catch the ball. My preference is Barkley but I fear he’ll go #1.
My question starts at 2.11 and 3.02... Is that too early to consider TEs like Kelsie or Kittle or Ertz? Hell, they might even go before 2.11, but with 1.5 PPR for them, those tight ends who catch a ton of passes are very valuable. If those three are gone, who’s the next guy and is 2.11/3.02 too early?
Also, rookie picks are draftable in this startup, so is Rookie pick 1.01 (if available) or even Rookie pick 1.02-1.04... is the end of round 2/early Round 3 too early for those?
How fast would you be prioritizing QB, TE and rookie picks in this league startup draft if you were me from the 2 spot?

I would 100% go with Mahomes or Luck at 1.02.

Re: Advice for a 1 QB + Superflex Startup with 1.5 PPR for TEs
Agree with above. I would immediately prioritize QBs. I would definitely take Mahomes at 1.02 if he is there. I would probably take at minimum 2 QBs in the first 3 rounds. I would want at least 3 starting quality QBs on my team by then end, and I would take more if they fall to you. After the startup the teams that skipped on QBs will be shipping off those stud RBs and WRs to get a QB. You can get RB and WR production much later in rounds. Build for the future, don't look at building a team that will win the first year if it means sacrificing QBs.

Should have said 4 points for passing TD and 6 points for rushing TD.

Yes. QBs are always more expensive to trade for than to draft in the startup. For example, in superflex, I would want Barkley+ to sell Mahomes. QBs will be cheapest to acquire in the startup draft, so I would target elite QBs and solid QB1s early and often in the first 3-4 rounds. However, it's also a fine balance, because you don't want to reach for replaceable QB assets in the middle rounds like Stafford or Dalton.

He will likely regress a bit towards the mean next season, and even if he’s at 4,500 and 35 or around there, idk if that’s SO much better than what I could get in the third round and on in a guy like Mayfield or Watson.
On the other hand, Barkley is a MUCH better RB than I can find in the same rounds later.

Re: Advice for a 1 QB + Superflex Startup with 1.5 PPR for TEs
You do realize that Mahomes threw for about 1,000 more yards than Watson and had almost TWICE as many TD passes, right? And he only ran for about 200 yards fewer and 2 TDs fewer.
Even if Mahomes falls back to 4,500 / 35, what makes you think that Watson will get near those numbers? That would be 500 more yards and 9 (!!) more TDs.
Mayfield was impressive his rookie year. But, it's still a big second-year leap to get to 4,500 / 35. And he doesn't have the rushing production to boost his numbers.
Finally, what's to say that Mahomes' regression won't be to 4,700 / 38?
I think that you are either far under-estimating Mahomes' value or far over-estimating that of Watson/Mayfield.
Or you just REALLY want Barkley... If that's the case, then I'd look to trade back in the first round. Best case scenario for you: you get Barkley later. "Worst" case, someone else snipes Barkley and Mahomes/Luck falls to you while you pick up assets elsewhere.

Re: Advice for a 1 QB + Superflex Startup with 1.5 PPR for TEs
I think it's fine to have Barkley #1 but I'd take Mahomes over Gurley. And as said, Baker/Watson should go 2nd round. Maybe 1 of Arod/Goff/Wentz slips to 2.11. mid 2nd-mid 3rd is probably the ADP of those 3 TEs in that league, don't think there is a 4th worth that price tag and 1.01 shouldn't really be in consideration considering the premiums of the league.
Re: Advice for a 1 QB + Superflex Startup with 1.5 PPR for TEs
They'll be plenty of QBs for you to choose from at the 23 turn and 45 turn. Take Barkley or Gurley
Re: Advice for a 1 QB + Superflex Startup with 1.5 PPR for TEs
My read of OP's question was more about TEs in the format than QBs..
Saying that, I'd think a Kelce or Ertz would be fine at the end of the 2nd or early-3rd, if you really love those guys.. But I wouldn't prioritise anybody else really. The TE premium (just like 4 vs 6 points for passing TDs) is common pitfall. Avoid it.
As far as rookie picks, get as many as you can. They tend to be undervalued in startups and especially in startups this early in the year.

Re: Advice for a 1 QB + Superflex Startup with 1.5 PPR for TEs
We recently did a very similar startup and all 3 of those TE were gone by 2.09. The next was picked at 4.10.
The Rookie 1.01 went at 5.05, with 1.02 at 6.10.
QB10 was picked at 3.05.
Hope this helps. As you might expect, once the first TE / second QB goes, the others in that tier quickly followed. If you don’t have a QB or TE by your 3rd pick, you won’t get a top one.
Obviously this is just 1 draft, yours could be different.
