Fournette and 4th for Woods and 2nd

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Fournette and 4th for Woods and 2nd

Postby allinagain » Wed Jan 16, 2019 12:21 pm

First time on this forum. Thanks in advance for the help. I’m excited to find a dedicated dynasty league website. This is a trade that another owner mentioned to me.

He sends:
Leonard Fournette
2019 4th Round (31st)

I send:
Robert Woods or Kenny Golladay
2019 2nd Round (14th)

I won the league this year, and do not really need another RB, but still there’s a shortage of #1 RBs in any league. I have several decent WRs, so it may not hurt me. I’m unsure what to think about Fournette, It could be a good time to buy low.

Based on your roster and this being a 10 team league, I would easily make that deal. I would move Woods well before Golladay though

You consider a 2nd & Woods/Golladay as a buy low for Fournette? He isn't an efficient runner at all (3.7 YPC career) and is always banged up. I'd rather have Woods than Fournette in a straight swap, so adding a 2nd and having him add a 4th is a complete no-go for me.

Golladay is a different story, but I'm not that high on him to begin with.

Way I see it, no reason to shoot yourself in the foot and make a trade like this when your existing starting RB core is: Ezekiel Elliott, Christian McCaffrey, Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, Aaron Jones. Fournette would be your RB4 ish. Woods is your current WR2. I think you're severely undervaluing Woods.

You don't have your starting positions listed, but this is an easy pass for me. Give me Woods and the 2nd.

I view LF and Woods as pretty even, but the 2nd >> 4th.

Not to mention your RB's are way better than your WR's. So this deal would make your team worse off.

Thanks y’all. I have updated my signature to help out, thanks for the advice. This is the 3rd season of the league, and I’m trying to figure out ways to keep myself at the top.

Would take Fournette, trading Woods.

When I saw the title I was thinking, man I kind of like Woods over Fournette straight up. Saw the first reply and began to wonder if I knew what I was talking about. Glad to see I am not the only one based on the other responses. With that team and those settings, I would be trying to consolidate and upgrade at WR, not trading them away.

Value-wise it's ok, but I'd target another player other than Fournette. You're already stacked at RB and could actually use a true WR1 that's not as old as Julio. If you're packaging players and/or picks, go after a top 10 WR.
