I can't really get a read on Seattle's defense. Curry should be the LB to own, and Tatupu's not a bad option either, they're both 3 down LB's. A healthy Tatupu will take alot of tackles away from Hawthorne, and I also value DL Clemons higher than most which doesn't help Hawthorne either. He's a LB3 with upside.

every thing i hear about houston is that williams will be playing de, bawin as slb and them drafting a wlb to rush the passer, but that could all be bs, after the draft it will clear up a little

It maybe a battle in camp for the that MLB job and i see whoever is not starting may be on the trading block. Not sure if Carroll has allegiance to Tatupu from USC days or that he's signed for mucho $$ through 2015 but i would love to have Hawthorne on the Giants. Tag Kiwi and trade them strait up would be very nice...but of course CBA hinders all the wheeling and dealing and leaves alot of uncertainty leading up to the draft.

I wouldn't put any rookie LB's in the top 35 at this moment. Nate Irving has a nice shot at it if he wins the MLB job. Mason Foster has a shot depending on how FA goes with Ruud and Foster wins the MLB job. Colin McCarty has a sneaky chance to hit as a top scoring LB if Tulloch leaves and McCarty lands the starting MLB job. However, all those depend on how things break to get those guys in there. Right now there are too many questions.

what's the chance of Terrell Suggs cracking this list? Stud DE for sure, but ESPN (and the Ravens) list him as a LB. I assume he comes in somewhere around sackmasters like Cameron Wake...

you have to take all rankings in stride and compare them to your league scoring rules. I play in a league were sacks are 8 pts and tkls / atkls are 1 pt each. So, in those leagues guys like Suggs, Ware, Harrison, Wake....OLB"S in general have a lot more value. There's a lot of good info in these rankings though...great work darrell

oh yes, great list. I guess I wasn't thinking this particular list, but a list in general, where Suggs would rank now that he's an LB....

I can't imagine Suggs being all that valueable listed as a LB. Any LB that is averaging about 50 solos a year has to be lower than a LB3 imo. It's the sacks that make the difference in big play leagues, and yes he'd be equal to a guy like Cameron Wake or Clay Matthews.

what is up with DLF's IDP rankings? They seem really off, or out of date. jesus maybe we could help them update it or something by starting a rankings thread.... like they have for IOP.

I honestly don't look at the DLF rankings. I suppose they could be ok, but they don't differentiate PPR or non-PPR which means that they are pretty generic. The same thing with the IDP rankings. There is no explainaiton whether it's a tackle heavy scoring or a more balanced scoring big play system. Without tayloring the offensive rankings or defensive rankigns to a scoring system or having two seperate rankings, I find them to be useless. This is probably why there is always so much talk about the rankings of this site being off. Non-PPR guys look at the rankings and think it's crazy. PPR guys look at the rankings and think it's crazy. There should be two offensive rankings (PPR and non-PPR) and two defensive rankings (tackle and big play) or else the rankings really serve no one in my opinion.

Just took a gander at the some of the rankings for fun - off topic of IDP, but on topic of rankings.

The offensive ones are worse the the defensive ones, but I think that comes back to no scoring system associated with them.
Bilal Powell says big RB with balance and power.... big at 5'11" 207?
