Some hard drop decisions for kicker/injuries

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Some hard drop decisions for kicker/injuries

Postby MontrealBen » Sun Nov 11, 2018 7:53 am

Team 2 in sig (imp: slight TE premium):

I need to drop someone for a kicker. Most obvious candidates are Wilson, Ballage, or Adams (though Meredith, MBryant, and Jonnu are also down in cut consideration). Also, would you drop one of those for Shaheen?

Team 3 in sig:

Need a TE if Gronk is confirmed a no-go. Who gets cut? MVS, Sutton, or someone else?

Team 2: I would drop Meredith before the other 2 RB's. They could both have nice roles heading/next year

Team 3: I would cut MVS before Sutton

Thanks. Updated the OP, since I probably narrowed the focus a bit too much for team 2.

Team 3, cut MVS over Sutton.

I wish. It's a new league for me, and this is the week I discovered a rule I didn't know people played with -- newly acquired players during the week get locked on your roster within 24 hours of game time. I picked up Matt Bryant midweek when it looked like he was going to play, didn't know about the rule, and found out about it last night when I checked in after a busy Saturday and couldn't drop him.

Team 2: that's a dumb rule...

Team 3: you need deeper benches

Very helpful... :?

Team 2: I agree, but it's also my own fault for not knowing it, and I still need to cut someone
Team 3: It is what it is. 10 old college buddies in a keeper league that isn't very intense.

Cut Adams

Ahh I didnt notice team 3 was just 5 keepers. I doubt you keep either next year then so it's really a toss up. I'd probably cut Sutton.

team 2 cut meredith...easy choice for me
team 3 cut Sutton i suppose, but i kinda like him more than Hilton long term (though he has a bye this week)
a little too late, but i would have tried to move Gronk for an upgrade earlier....gronk and landry for ?...pick a team that doesn't have a lot of quality keepers
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
Watson, Brady, Mills
Ekeler, Hunt, Carson/Penny, DForeman, Mitchell, CPat, Kyren, Ford, KHarris
Cooper, sutton, Chase, Shepard, Atwell, Schwartz, Wan'Dale, Austin III
Gesicki, Engram, Hooper, Woods
team 2 -start QB 2RB 3WR TE 2Flex K D
Cousins, Stafford
DH JT, Ekeler, Kylin Hill, Herbert, KHarris, Chandler
Hopkins, Diggs, Adams, Godwin, McLaurin, Callaway, DPJ, Robby Anderson, Schwartz, Pierce, Wan'Dale, Doubs
Kelce, Andrews, Jacob Harris

I ended up cutting Meredith and Sutton.

I agree on the trade front, but one of the downsides to that league is that because of the waiver wire depth very few trades get made. I have to make that call on Gronk soon though. He should be back post-bye for a late season run, but I might be wise to cash in on him before it's too late.

Just dropped him for Chase Daniel (VERY slim pickings for QBs, and Mahomes is my only QB in a superflex)

Team 2: I would drop Meredith or Bryant

Team 3: doesn’t matter too much because 5 keepers but it would come down to between MVS, Sutton, and Collins
Team 1
10 team .5 PPR, 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1Flex

QB: Brees, Cousins
RB: McCaffery, Guice, D Williams, Breida, Drake, Penny, S Ware, R Jones, J Adams, I Smith
WR: A Brown, Jeffery, Robinson, Ridley, Pettis, Miller, Shepard, Callaway, MVS, Washington
TE: Kelce, Herndon

Picks:
2019 1.10, 2.10, 3.10, 4.10
2020 1, 2, 3, 4
