Dunlap Value

Postby lukkyseven » Mon Nov 05, 2018 12:20 pm

I'm contending for my division currently. This means my picks will end up being mid to late round (32 team double copy - or16 team as I look at it league).

I currently have Hunter and Ngakoue. We can start up to 3 DE's, but are required to start 2. This is a 100% dynasty league, so the older guys lose a little bit of value. Trying to see what you guys think a fair offer for Dunlap would be as far as picks go.

The guy trading Dunlap is out for picks and youth, I have Roquan and Vander Esch I could move on the LB side of the house as well.

Offer Roquan for Dunlap and a 2nd or 3rd and just see what he says.

If your league rewards sacks to the point where Everson Griffen, Mario Addison, or Danielle Hunter single-handedly won the week for their owners yesterday, then give me Dunlap over Roquan or LVE straight up.

LB's score significantly less points than DE's in this particular league.

Tack bleep Sack Pass Def Int FF FR QB Hit TFL
DT 2 1.5 4 3 4 4 2 1 2 2
DE 1.5 1 4 3 4 4 2 1 2 2
LB 1 0.5 4 3 4 4 2 1 2 2

I'll post some scores of the guys mentioned when I get home (work blocks this particular FF site)

I traded Dunlap and my 2019 first for D Henry a few weeks before the season started. Turned out to be one of the worst dynasty trades I've ever made.

I've offered Dunlap in several deals this season and can't seem to get anyone to look twice. I'm in an enviable position of owning Watt and Garrett so he's expendable to me at this point and an obvious upgrade to pretty much every team. It's quite frustrating.

I'm in a two copy league, and both owners want to trade him but are asking almost two firsts. I pretty much don't respond at that point.

Any update on Dunlap? Traded for him a month ago, registered 2 sacks that game then nothing since. Has he been injured (thought I saw a report of a shoulder injury) or have the Bengals been behind early with the other teams committing to the run?

His snap volume was only about 50% in week 10 but otherwise at about 75%+ where it has been all season.

Anyone have insights to his drop off this year? Looks like snap counts are going down- is he injured or just aging and ineffective? consider dropping him

I haven't heard that he is hurt, but yeah - major concerns over his playing time. Even with Hubbard out last week, Dunlap was 3rd on the team for DEs in terms of snaps.

Now in Seattle, what could we expect from him once suspension lifted ?

Love it for him, unless he's cooked already.

Should be close to a full time DE within the month, and IMO, a mid-DE2 for the fantasy playoffs

I’m not sure I’d be counting on that, there’s a reason the Bengals relegated him to coming off the bench. Don’t think he has much left in the tank. Time will tell of course.
