Thielen trade

Postby Rams Fan » Tue Oct 23, 2018 6:26 am

A new owner just joined our league and it’s his first dynasty. I’m 5-2 and he is 1-6. I want to send out an offer but don’t want a riot as I’m also the commissioner. Thoughts on it as the 1-6 team wants draft picks:

Give: 2019 2nd, 2 2020 1st, 2020 2nd
Get: Thielen, Jordan Howard
Team 1:
12 Team, Superflex, 0.5ppr
1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 2FLEX, 1OP, 1TE, 1Def
QB: Matt Ryan, Andy Dalton, Sam Darnold
RB: Zeke, Yeldon, Kerryon Johnson, Elijah McGuire
WR: OBJ, AJ Green, Tyreek Hill, Larry Fitzgerald, Jamison Crowder, Taywan Taylor
TE: Gronk
D: Chicago

Team 2:
10 Team, Superflex, 0.5 PPR
1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 2 FLX, 1 OP
QB: Carson Wentz (3 years), Drew Brees (2years), Eli Manning(1year), Ryan Tannehill(1year)
RB: Zeke (4 years), Carlos Hyde (1 year), Alex Collins (1 year), Elijah McGuire (TS)
WR: Keenan Allen (2 year), Michael Thomas(NO, 3 years), Demaryius Thomas (1year), Jarvis Landry(1 year), Golden Tate (1 year), Robby Anderson (TS)
TE: Kyle Rudolph (1 year)

Need more context (12team etc)

However that seems really really cheap to me.

You are getting a great deal, I would much rather have Thielen and Howard. It's not egregious enough that I would worry about what the other owners will think or say. They will just be mad that they were not the ones to think of the trade, or do it in the first place. Get Thielen and Howard and ignore the jealousy that will come.

You’re taking him to the cleaners on this trade, it’s off by at least a 2019 1st.

Your pick is most likely going to be bottom 3, so essentially pick 20+ then late picks 2020.

If he was smart he wouldn’t even sell Thielan for this.

I know people hate trade calculators but it indicates the picks aren’t even enough for Howard, especially bc this is only .5 ppr

I would prepare to get crow for this being you are the commish. Add in Kerryon and keep a 2020 pick to still win big but make it closer.

I'd say those picks are worth Thielen and then howards worth probs a late first
Not horrible but not great value either

that's probably only one step below bum-rape.
can't see the appeal of giving away my best player and a solid RB and get back sweet fμck all for two years.

I definitely see the appeal of getting new owners in and ripping them off though XD

Two 1sts and two 2nds aren't terrible, but I don't like that the 1sts are in 2020. I agree with the others that it should cost you more.

It’s a great deal if you can get it done.

But it’s an insulting offer and personally I’d feel bad taking advantage of a brand new dynasty rookie owner. Try sending something fair and give him chance to get acclimatised to dynasty football.

You are stealing with that. #1 WR and a good RB. He won't get that back in those draft picks. Need 3 #1's and one needs to be top 3 just for Thielen. Your seconds are meaningless to me here. So you only give 2 and maybe not top 3 plus you get Howard. Yep, stealing.
QB: Mayfield, Bridgewater, Fitzpatrick
RB:David Johnson, Mixon, Chubb, James Robinson, Mattison, K Vaughn
WR: AJG, K Allen, D Adams, JuJu, C Godwin, D Slayton, S Miller
TE: Engram, Kittle
K: Succup
Def.: Arizona

Champions 2006 and 2018. Second a few times in between, again in 2019.

No PPR. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB,WR,TE) 1K 1 1 Def
Drop 7 ea yr. 20 player roster with up to 2 IR
