Alshon + MVS for Michel
For team in sig. Send Alshon and MVS for Michel? I might just offer Alshon first, but he has Cobb and could use his potential replacement MVS

Re: Alshon + MVS for Michel
I have never been the biggest Alshon guy (as he just always seems to be injured and more of a low end WR2 for fantasy as a result)...but this is still close for me. I would prefer the Sony side though as what we have seen the past few weeks looks very promising.

Re: Alshon + MVS for Michel
This offer is still out there but Alshon looks like a WR1 in his 3rd game back. 7 targets, 4 catches, 48 yards, 1 TD in one half against a secondary that has only given up 600+ yards and 2 TDs total in 5 weeks to WRs like MT, Nuk, etc.

Re: Alshon + MVS for Michel
Believing Alshon is a WR1 in these days is a mistake. I'm going with Sony

Believing in your ability to read BB's mind as to which RB is part of the gameplan that week seems far riskier than a proven guy still in his prime tied to a young, stud QB...but that's just me!

I get the Patriots RB argument. We will see if it remains that way now that they only have 2.flyersfan1981 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 10:01 pmBelieving in your ability to read BB's mind as to which RB is part of the gameplan that week seems far riskier than a proven guy still in his prime tied to a young, stud QB...but that's just me!

As for Alshon, I think he is a great player and there is no arguing that Wentz is amazing. But I have my reasons I'm low on him.
His best days were in CHI 4 and 5 years ago (the only 2 seasons he had 1000 or 10 TD)
Since then, he has always been a question mark coming into every single game and has missed multiple games each season...
...except for last season when he played all 16 games and still didn't finish as a top 20 WR.
Great game last night but I guess hes just not what I look for
Re: Alshon + MVS for Michel
Alshon has already played 2 of his best games as an Eagle in these past 3 games. I think that’s a good sign that he may be back to WR1 or high WR2 form. He probably will never get to 1400 yards again, but his TDS were high last year regardless and he’s on pace again this year for a high number.
His injuries are a big concern, but when he’s out there, he can be dominant and I feel he will show that this year.

Re: Alshon + MVS for Michel
Yeah. I was low on Alshon off of his injury and his stinker last week but I watched the whole game last week. 1 drop, and about 4 piss poor throws from Wentz. And then look at his stats and he has 6 TDs in his last 5 games. 16 in his 22 games as an Eagle. Only thing missing is big yardage games but he is averaging about a 1000 yd pace with those great TD numbers. That is solid WR2 numbers. Now I am torn and want to offer something else for Michel. ARob+MVS or Shepard+MVS+2nd?

Re: Alshon + MVS for Michel
Thanks. Since we didn’t get deal done before game yesterday gonna wait until Tuesday to try again. So we’ll see how ARob does this weekend, and Michel. I expect him to come on and cement himself as a WR2 himself some time this year as Trubisky and Nagy’s offense matures. We’ll see where all the values shake out by Tuesday

Re: Alshon + MVS for Michel
I think those figures are a little deceptive though. In 2016, he missed 4 games but not because of injury, he was suspended. And he played on pace for 1,100 yards thru those 12 games with Smokin' Jay who stunk at that point. Then last year it took a little bit for him to get chemistry with Wentz, but that isn't abnormal. And this year he is off to a great start. Tied to Wentz for the next 2-3 years before he hits the magic age, I like him a lot as being super undervalued obviously.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 12, 2018 6:18 amI get the Patriots RB argument. Re: Alshon + MVS for Michel
What is the magic age for WRs? 30? 32? I'm asking because I have a young squad beyond AB(30) and Alshon(28) and want to know your opinion and the general common knowledge on when to sell aging WRs. Re: Alshon + MVS for Michel
That question could be a thread on its own, in fact it probably is. I don't think there is a great answer either because everyone is different. My thoughts are that unless I am in a rebuild I will run a guy into retirement because the production value is usually better than trade value. I think most will say 30, but many players have had productive years past 30, but those players are usually the exception. Other owners are terrified to own anyone over 30 and will usually get hosed in a trade just to get younger.
