His feet make him faster than his 40-yard dash. Check his 3 cone drill and you'll see how he gets open. Goff likes him and McVay will get him targets.

In PPR, he's stable. Proud owner. Austin Collie is a solid comparison. Maybe even Keenan Allen. Hopefully, injuries won't be an issue with Kupp, he's in a ripe situation for WR2 numbers for several years.

Regarding Josh Reynolds, I liked him too, but Cooks completely kills his value, they are the same type of WR. Reynolds offers no threat to Kupp.

Cooper Kupp is a WR1

Postby DinoDynasty » Fri Sep 28, 2018 7:19 am

Wanted to discuss Kupp as I was someone who was extremely high on him coming out of the draft and traded for him this offseason in what many people thought I sold low. (Gave AJG for Kupp/Ridley/Golladay)

Kupp has been one of the most consistent WRs since he entered the league showing strong hands and great route running ability. As a rookie he only had 5 games with less than 10 points which was the same as Adams. After last nights gave he showed how high his ceiling is, being a deep threat and the top RZ target for the top offense in the NFL.

While I don’t think he will hit his 96/1400/16 pace I don’t see any reason why he wouldnt finish with somewhere around 80/1250/12 which would be a top 5 WR finish last year. Outside of the age difference I struggle to understand the perceived value gap between Kupp and his peer Juju, especially when you consider the drop off in supporting cast (Ben nearing retirement vs Goff).

I look for consistency in my WRs, and I firmly believe Kupp should be viewed as a top 10 WR after this season. However I feel that he will be consistency undervalued like Landry his entire career.

The foreshadowing of this thread last night is impeccable. Regardless, that offense is firing on all cylinders and nights like last night where they spread it around, but everybody still ate is perfect. Now, I dont think they will be pushing for 40+ points every night, but should hover around 30, which is still astounding. They will run into some better defensive efforts, especially on the road, but will it matter? Kupp was the benefactor of the largest slice of the pie last night and you will think he will see favorable coverages more often than not. Maybe not Anthony Barr favorable, but with Cooks, Woods, and TGIII, the biggest issue will be keeping everyone happy. I see him as a fairly solid WR2, but would take Juju over him.

They warned of these threads. It's an offense that is absolutely lighting it up. I think WR1 is a bit much in dynasty talks though. If he wasn't on this offense, where would he rank?

He would most likely be a PPR machine eating up targets on a team that has few weapons around him. However, he is on an elite offense, and his value should reflect that. Many people had D Adams as a top 5-10 WR this year, because of his RZ targets and being tied to an elite offense/QB. What makes Kupp any different?

Love how this thread was called by many last night. Kupp is good but come on man, Overreaction much? That Aj Green Trade looks fantastic today though.

I own Kupp in a few places only because he fell so far in drafts. I wasn’t a fan coming out but he’s clearly proven any doubter wrong. I can’t get on the WR1 numbers with him just yet, but what I do know is that he will be a rock in your lineup for years and that is worth it’s weight in gold.

He may not have the upside of JuJu, but I think he’s a guy that will flirt with 90 catches each year but also flirt with double digit TD’s. A lot of these slot guys like Tate and Landry haven’t been super productive in the red zone for obvious reasons. But Kupp is a guy that finds the soft spot and has a great rapport with Goff.

So while he may never be a top 5 WR, he’s almost just as valuable because you’re gonna love starting him for the next 5+ years and there aren’t a lot of WR’s you can say that about. His floor is decent with the 4-5 catches for 50-60 yards and he has demonstrated he is capable of also putting up a big game.

Most owners have him as their WR3+ and that’s just unfair in most leagues. I wouldn’t try to trade him because he is likely never to get the stud label and you’re not going to find much better in terms of floor for the price you paid.

If Kupp is a WR1 then Woods should be pretty damn close. He's only 1 year older and his having a pretty similar season. I don't necessarily buy either as a WR1, but definitely buy both as WR2s.

Really difficult, in my opinion, to differentiate each of the 3 Rams WRs' values.

They're 25, 25, and 26 and after 4 games are averaging 19.3, 20.7, and 18.5. All are within 2 targets of each other and 2 receptions of each other. Considering they also have Gurley, the current rate for each guy seems unsustainable, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if we're looking at 3 WRs from the same team that end up in the 8-20 range this year.

All those weapons are all signed through at least the next 3 years, too...just insane.
