OBJ for Michael Thomas

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

OBJ for Michael Thomas

Postby The Showstopper » Tue Sep 18, 2018 4:49 pm

Would it be crazy to trade OBJ straight up for Michael Thomas?

It's not crazy and it might be smart. Or the Giants might trade for Jameis tomorrow

I might do it. I own obj so I get the desire to think outside the box here. He's just not blowing up of late with those monster games like he did his first couple of seasons. I guess that may not be a fair assessment though considering he had only played like 7 games in the past year. I dunno, I could go either way. Thomas is steady and in a better offense for now, but obj is the better overall talent imo.

Not crazy but you should be able to get more. It's not unrealistic to think they could be dead even in value this time next season, if they both continue to trend the same way they are now.
All my teams suck. And I'm not in your league.

I wouldn't doit, MT is just being force fed the ball. no one else to really pass to, its Kamara and MT. defenses will adjust. OBJ is a HOFer I wouldn't trade those type of guys away.

OBJ might be in a struggling offense with a old broken QB but Thomas won't have Brees for much longer either and no idea what it will look like after that.

OBJ, but the gap is narrowing. As a Thomas owner I’d do this 1 for 1, but wouldn’t add a whole lot.

Difference between the two? OBJ can turn any catch into a TD, can't say the same for MT. So straight up, I am not trading OBJ for Thomas.

This type of comment pops up every year with OBJ. I've owned him since 2015 and every year e gets off to slow start and every hits the panic button and every year he finishes with a 95/1300/12 stat line.

With that being said I love MT and think he'll be in the same convo as OBJ and Dhop after this season but what concerns me is the Saints have sold out to get a DE...? How are they going to replace Brees in 2020? It won't surprise me to see the giants in the bottom half of the league again and be in position to nab a top QB in the next couple of years.
