Cooks or Cooper

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Cooks or Cooper

Postby sk25411 » Wed Sep 12, 2018 8:45 pm

Got an offer of Cooks for Cooper straight up for team in sig.

Frustrated, lost week 1 by 1.8 points, no thanks to Amari Cooper and his ongoing crapping on my team.

Should I make the trade? Or bench cooper and start Gordon and Landry to wait for him to get back on track? Or try for something else?

Thanks.

I prefer Cooks. Have more faith in Goff/McVay than Carr/Gruden and while Cooks stats dont jump off the page if you watched the game it was obvious they were determined to get him the ball. Moved him all over the place, and he drew two PI on long passes. I like Cooks as WR2 with upside. Amari will have his weeks, but I dont wanna have to take all the bad to wait for the good.

At this point, Cooks is much safer.

Cooks. Didn’t think I’d ever say that.

Cooper can still be defended for a large variety of reasons but perhaps there is some thing or reason he doesn’t get fed that we just don’t have knowledge of or access to. Cooks will never have the ceiling Cooper COULD have but he sure has a higher floor. And the floor is nothing to shake a stick at.

Piling on Cooks
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Don't think Cooks is awesome, but he'll be better than Coop--just temper expectations.

Cooks has been the more consistent WR and minimally as productive (much more last season). This has always been Cooks > Cooper and that isn't likely to change.

Cooks is safer at this point. Cooper, Gruden and Oak is getting to be a hot mess right now and they are getting me nervous.
