Tyrell is a free agent next season. If he’s that much better than Mike he’ll get a better deal somewhere else.

I thought Mike was awesome in college. Would take him 7/8 round in a 12 team league and also try to get Tyrell. They could both be starting fantasy WRs in 2019

I expect Mike Williams to easily become the #2 for the Chargers this year with Tyrell & TBenj mixing in as the 3rd WR / deep threat.

Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong or the statement is inaccurate - but I feel like KA & Mike Williams are very similar receivers (in regards to style).

I don't think they are similar at all...

Keenan Allen is closer to AB than to Mike Williams. Not terribly athletic but makes space with route running. Makes living off catching a ball in open space even though everyone knows he is the #1 receiving threat, and running for a few yards because he has that much space and time.

Mike Williams is closer to prime Dez than Keenan Allen. Kind of athletic, but 0 route creativity, makes living off of running straight and making highlight reel contested back shoulder catches.

AB is athletic. Quick twitch, and fast. Combine be damned, he came in from a smaller school and utilized the professional strength and conditioning program. Adjusting to a ball thrown off of where it was originally meant to be is pure athleticism. AB is most definitely athletic. Geez, listen to the Raider fan sticking up for a Steeler, what is the world coming to? Don't own him anywhere, either.

I remember last year's Mike Williams thread. It was depressing. A few pages in I remember a chain of consecutive posts that about summed up his entire career since being drafted

-Mike Williams cleared to play, will dress and get snaps this Sunday

-Mike Williams carted off the field with apparent knee injury

-Mike Williams reportedly out for rest of year

Just, he got back after the initial injury and was hurt again before we even got a chance to get excited and see what the first round pick could do. I'd guess a lot of people don't even realize it wasn't a single season ending injury. His healthy blip was a single scantime

Oh yeah big time, his athleticism is evident by his disgusting yac and big play ability, but AB is the poster child for route running. I just couldn't think of one that is super productive and not an elite athlete.

Call me a homer but Mike Williams is going to have a huge year. This guy is catching all kinds of jump ball TD's.

When was the last time Philip Rivers had a legitimate jump ball receiver with draft pedigree? 2011 Vincent Jackson - 1100 yards & 9 TDs.

I really like Mike Williams this season, he should get favorable coverage with K.Allen on the field plus Gordon in the backfield. Just hoping he stays healthy, that’s the only concern. The Chargers are going to be one of my favorite teams to watch this season, I own a bunch of their players in multiple leagues, K.Allen, M.Williams, Rivers, Gordon, even T.Williams in a few. Personally, I think they win the AFC West, signing M.Pouncey and getting F.Lamp back should really help their o-line, but they seem to have bad luck so you never know.

Just moved Sutton for him. (Wasn't the major pieces involved but rather the secondary pieces.).

I have high hopes for him. Williams reminds me of Kelvin Benjamin but better hands

Saw reports saying Williams was dominating the Saints DBs in their shared practices.

Unclear if they were talking about 1v1 drill or 11v11.

Can’t find an old thread to bump so I’m making a new one, sorry. I think we saw tonight what he can do without Keenan, the problem from a fantasy perspective is Keenan. HH coming back next year won’t help either. MG getting so many targets as well. Just confused about this guy. He can be a real good real life player but idk about his fantasy status just due to target share. So what do we see him being in the future? Any real consistency or will he be a boom or bust guy? If tonight didn’t earn him more targets than idk what will.

He will be solid next year in standard leagues. Full PPR will be a little tougher as he just does not seem like he will ever be a high volume guy. Great in the red zone and moving the chains, and nights like tonight show he could be the guy. Too many mouths to feed at the moment to be that guy right now. WR2 ceiling in standard leagues. Still a WR3 for me in ppr. You could maybe talk me into a low end 2 if the chips falls right.
