Ronald Jones or Carson Wentz

12 teams, 1 QB, half PPR. Start: 1qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1flex, 1def.

I’m the Ronald Jones owner. I have 4 other rb’s other than Jones that I like and wouldn’t mind having a top qb to stream with Garoppolo depending on who has the better matchup.

I’m only hesitant to do it since it’s a 1 QB league as qb’s don’t hold as much value. Thoughts?

I prefer Jones in a 1 QB league by a good bit.

I thought about that. There’s really only a few options. It’s a salary cap league so the guys salaries have to be taken into account.

David Johnson would be the guy that made the most sense if I were to do that. His owners team won’t be competing for a ship this year.

Christian McCaffrey is another possibility, but I wouldn’t give Howard + Rojo for him.

Fournette is also a possibility.

I mean the obvious one is dj, but you probably need to add something else since I don't think Howard is that appealing.

Cmc is probably one teire down from where I'd try to go.

Fournette I'm not a big fan of.

It's probably also worth waiting a bit. Maybe someone loses a rb in preseason and then you can deal for something else

I had DJ earlier in the offseason but traded him away to the current owner he has now. Not sure what to expect of him in a completely new offense. But I could probably get on board with buying him back.

Top end QB's should still be worth a mid 1st in 1QB leagues. Wentz side if you have the RB to spare

jones easily for me. you have 3 viable qbs (although baker wont start right away) the drop from wentz to garappolo (who you yourself said would be playing sometimes based on matchup anywhay) isnt gonna be nearly as much whatever rb you could fill in for jones ( i see you have SOME depth, so not a dire situation). people may not love his size but a lot of people didnt love kamara or hunt last year now they do lol. the role matters and he has a great one imo. this is a trade that would hurt your lineup and doesnt make sense imo. if your idea was trade jimmy and jones for wentz and kerryon that might make sense, this however is not needed for your team when you only need 1 qb but can start up to 3 rb

Easily Wentz with your team, what I like to do is change my lineup to add the player (Wentz) and see how you feel about your team then. I'm sure you will have a big smile with Wentz as your starting QB rather than Jones as your rb4

That’s a little too simplistic. Wentz is a top 3-4 dynasty QB and would be starting for him every week. RoJo will most likely be in a timeshare and would be a bye week flex play for him. Wentz improves his weekly point totals pretty significantly. RoJo doesn’t. I agree in principle that nobody needs four QBs in a 1QB league, but that just means he needs to unload Tannehill before the start of the season.
