It's now official: Browns signed RB Duke Johnson to a three-year, $15.6 million extension through 2021.

Big blow for Chubb owners. Hyde and Johnson are now both on the books for the next 3 years. Wouldn't be surprised if Hyde is let go next year though. Regardless, if Chubb outperforms them all he has great chance of him becoming a stud 3-down back in Cleveland. I would consider trading for him during the season when he's in the corner and owners begin to lose faith.
10 Team PPR, 25 man roster(1st and 2nd year player PS option for $20), QB, 2 RB, 3WR, TE, FLEX (RB,WR,TE), K, DEF.

That Chubb will never catch a pass until he signs his new deal, with a new team.

I don't think owners who took him high are going to lose faith, competent owners are aware Hyde may be released. Dynasty is about patients not perform now or leave. lol

Most owners who draft RBs early are drafting them because they want the production now.

Probably doesn't change much. I doubt he would have been used in the passing game a whole lot even if Duke was gone a year from now.

That's dependent upon the owner and their situation. The one who owns him in my league has Jordan Howard, Mark Ingram, K. Johnson, Jamaal Williams, and then much lesser backs. If he or any other Chubb owner were to be on the bubble around week 12, Chubb would have to be regarded as expendable. No matter where he was selected.

This is correct, and you luck out taking the depth guys like Hunt, Kamara, David Johnson in Rounds 2 + 3 where an injury, etc. opens the door. But those 1st Round picks, man, it's a real bummer if they're on the sideline unless your team can afford it.

Not great for Chubb, and not great for Duke owners who hoped he'd get out that hellhole.

But THIS is the Browns year, it HAS to be, right??

I said it before and I'll say it again: Chubb was never a pass-downs back. He doesn't have the speed or hands for it. He's a bowling ball type guy with good vision, a-la Frank Gore.

Still a great guy to have, especially in non-PPR formats.

The light bulb will go off sooner or later for those still hoping and praying. He isn't who most of us thought he was....not to imply he is nothing, but the writing has been on the wall for quite some time, and the recent signing of Lewis just crossed the T and dotted the I. 2017 Henry is who Henry is and will be.
