no. Ridley or Moore at 1.09 are still fine and you can need a WR as well as a RB. Even Mayfield should be in sconsideration to be the choice. You know your league best... If you really think all RBs are gone then you could even consider trade down to 1.11 f.e. and grab whos left (Moore/Ridley/Mayfield)

I see 6 good rookie RBs and think Moore will go 1.6 or 1.7 so you should get K Johnson or Freeman

Getting moore at 1.9 isn't bad, and trading back to grab some value isn't a horrid option either

This is a case where knowing your league is super important. If your league has been going for a few years, you should have a decent idea about where the running backs will be drafted. In my standard non-super flex league, Sony was still on the board at #9. He was the only back left at that point as 7 went with the 1st 8 picks.

This years backs will go early and often. That being said you only need one team to draft another position so you should be ok. If you are super worried you can always trade up. I wouldn't actually trade up until the draft starts to unfold. I would start sniffing around with the other owners to see what it would take to trade up. It should not take too much to move up a spot or two that will grantee you one of the Rbs. Also, talk to the other owners about who they like and dislike. Again, this is when its important to know who is truthful and who likes to spread rumors during draft season. I find that most people are pretty honest. You can find out a lot about the draft by talking to the different owners.

You will probably get Moore or Kerryon, probably Kerryon. Depends on if you consider Kerryon to be a "good" rb

Cheers for the help guys.

The league only started last season so I don't have too much info. Getting the best WR in the draft (Moore or Ridley) wouldn't be the end of the world but I just feel that after the top 8 backs theres not much there for the future bar maybe Ballage and/or Walton.

I'm hoping to get Kerryon Johnson at 1.09 and then Hayden Hurst and Callaway at 2.09 and 2.10. That should cover all needs and have a bit of a risk for the future with Calloway.

You're too worried about "covering all needs." Just take the best player available, trade up, or trade the pick for a RB. I think Hurst and Callaway are also reaches at the spots you're planning on taking them.

Yeah, if you're picking late in the 1st, those backs will likely be gone, esp in leagues like mine where good RBs are gold. Can't win without 'em.

Ridley was the first WR to go at 8, then Moore 10. Chubb fell in ours to 9 because Browns.

Now I expect a big WR run when we do next round in June - tons of great WR value in the 2nd.

You should be grateful because Moore will be as good or better than most of them.

If its your team in your sig I'd be just as fine taking a WR. I don't think your desperate for a RB. DJ, McKinnon and Ingram is solid with elite upside potential imo. If it was me, I'd like to grab another young WR to pair with JuJu, looking longterm after AB and Jeffrey are gone.

Draft value, trade for need.

Who cares what your roster needs. If OBJ somehow made his way into that draft and was sitting at 1.09, would you pass on him because "I need a running back"? I bet the answer is "no".

So don't sweat it.

since your league just started I think you should definitely focus on bpa and adding future picks. If you don’t love the player that falls to 1.9 search out a trade back that gives you future capital. Stockpiling picks in the first few years will really give you a leg up on the league in the long run. Some guys probably still don’t realize the value of drafting rookies for dynasty so take advantage of it. Depending on your tiers you could drop back a few picks to 1.11(Kirk) and pick up a future 2nd and late picks.

(For the record I always think bpa no matter how established the league.)
