Trading for Bowe or Britt

Postby toine » Thu Feb 24, 2011 6:47 pm

This is a large keeper league (we keep 8 + 1 rookie tagged player). Scoring is std with ppr.

I have a bunch of promising young wr's, but no true #1 and their inconsistency really killed me last year. I have been thinking of trying to acquire either Britt or Bowe who are both owned by the same player. He has indicated a willingness to make a move.

My roster highlights: Ryan, M Bush, Choice, C Johnson, McCoy, Stewart, DeAng Williams, Bryant, Crabtree, Harvin, Maclin, Gates, Gresham, Gronkowski

His roster highlights: Freeman, Stafford, Hightower, Mendenhall, Bowe, Britt, Evans, Owens, Cooley, Keller

He has offered me Bowe for McCoy which I will turn down. What would be a fair counter? I was thinking of offering Williams + Crabtree for Bowe but that seems a little expensive...

If I focussed on Britt, what do you think would be a fair offer? Would he be an upgrade over what I already have?

Any input/opinions are appreciated.

Are we talking about Mike Williams (TB)? If so that is wayyy to much IMO to move him and Crabtree for Britt... I say sit as I don't see a huge need for either because he is going to want a RB and giving up Stewart, McCoy or Johnson just doesn't make sense

Sorry... should have specified... Its DeAngelo Williams... I was thinking of countering DeAng + Crabtree for Bowe.

Not sure what I would offer for Britt, but certainly not DeAng + Crabtree... What would be a fair offer?

thanks for your input...

(edited original post to specify DeAng.)

I send DWill and Bowe for Roddy White. DWill and Crabtree should net you Bowe but I'd rather have the DWill/Crabtree side of that base of value.

Sorry to bump my own thread... Any more opinions out there?

Is DeAngelo + Crabtree too much to offer for Bowe?

If I try to land Britt instead of Bowe, what would be a fair offer?

team in sig... thanks for any additional input... I'm really going back and forth on this...

i don't have a problem with D-will/Crabbie for Bowe. You may be overpaying a slight bit but I think your rb's are strong enough to handle the loss of d-will and Bowe is a big upgrade over Crabbie IMO
