2qb trade question

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

2qb trade question

Postby Baller83 » Fri May 11, 2018 4:10 pm

I own the 1.2 1.4 1.14

It’s a 16 team 2qb league I was offered
Give 1.2
Get 1.8 and 1.12

So then I would have 1.4 1.8 1.12 1.14

Should I make that deal or just take guice at 1.2 and mayfield at 1.4?

With the superflex, that’s awful tempting. I’d use it as a floor to do a quick last minute sweep for a better deal, but I’d take it if you aren’t sold on anyone at 2 and want to shop the pick. At 8 u get one of those top RBs or QBs, and 12 still nets you a top 5 QB, one of the big 8 RBs, or a top WR. That’s acceptable

I’d highly consider that deal. Like sugbear said, it’ll net you a QB and RB/WR. I’d probably want a little more on top though

Keep the 1.02 and take a QB at 1.02 and 1.04.

This is highly dependent on what your current depth is.
If you're stacked, or reasonably deep, I'd be keeping the 1.02. If you've got a bunch of holes take the deal.

i think it depends on your roster too, but if i didn't need a QB (i already had 2 and i could use the 1.04 on another QB), i would make the trade..
so, do tell....let's see your roster...
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
Watson, Brady, Mills
Ekeler, Hunt, Carson/Penny, DForeman, Mitchell, CPat, Kyren, Ford, KHarris
Cooper, sutton, Chase, Shepard, Atwell, Schwartz, Wan'Dale, Austin III
Gesicki, Engram, Hooper, Woods
team 2 -start QB 2RB 3WR TE 2Flex K D
Cousins, Stafford
DH JT, Ekeler, Kylin Hill, Herbert, KHarris, Chandler
Hopkins, Diggs, Adams, Godwin, McLaurin, Callaway, DPJ, Robby Anderson, Schwartz, Pierce, Wan'Dale, Doubs
Kelce, Andrews, Jacob Harris

My team
Qb: keenum,lynch,Glennon,Eli

Rb: ajayi,l.miller,Crowell,burkhead, David Johnson,

Wr:a.brown,m.lee,d.parker,c.godwin,Doctson,treadwell,Pryor,a.stewart

Te: Ebron,njoku,watson

It’s 16 team league so that’s y my roster looks kinda weak

well, i don't think that looks weak at all in a 16 team league
you have Keenum and Eli (you can draft a QB @ 4
then you will have 1.08 and 1.12 for depth....i would make that trade...who knows Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson may fall to 1.08...

good luck, NICE TEAM!

Yea I’m on the fence to take guice at 1.2 and mayfield at 1.4 or to take the deal to get more depth

What’s the starting req? I would take the depth in a 16 Team league, you’ll also get 2 solid choices at both those spots like stated above
12 Team PPR
QB/2RB/3WR/TE/Flex
QB: Mahomes/Jones
RB: Mixon/Chubb/Mostert/Burkhead/McKinnon
WR: Wilson/JuJu/Marquise/Mooney/Campbell/Dotson/Osborn/Julio/Tolbert/Shakir/Metchie
TE: Andrews/Hurst

I would take the trade and try to trade the picks....im sure your leaguemates could be tempted by adding a qb or rb in this draft. you can likely get a very nice player to add to your youth.

if you elect to take the offer, id shop 12 and 14 right away for qb. that should give you a good idea of just how valuable that 8 and 4 are if qbs are still available. if you do happen to land a qb with those late 1st....it allows you to take a different approach to the 4 and 8 picks.

in the grand scheme of things, I think you need 2 qb's from this draft with your team. if you don't take it...id lean towards qb at both 2 and 4. you can get a decent prospect at 14. you know your league best, id like to think 4 and 8 could get you a lot of players, whether that be qb or not...and your team could certainly use that boost via the 2018 draft...but if you don't think those picks are tradeable, then you may be better off taking your guys at 2 and 4.

I don't love the offer, but with your team, in a 16 teamer, this gives you at worse...your top 5 rb and top 3 qb, with an extra top 15. there are some out there that believe that there is no difference between 2-10.....if you follow that logic, this is a no brainer.

It would be difficult for everyone to start a QB in their flex, unless every team in the league owned exactly 2 starting QBs. That's exactly why QBs should be valued extremely high in this league and why I would draft a QB with both early picks.

Take the picks. Depth is very important in 16 team leagues as rosters are thin.

agee, there is not a scenario where the op cant walk out of this draft without some qb's.
