Personally, I agree that the offense runs through Bell and AB, but Washington is not a polished receiver, at all (!!), and JuJu will continue to put up great WR2 numbers.

people are/were absurdly high on juju and it was totally unwarranted, imo, because there just wasnt much chance for him to hit his true ceiling with players like bell and brown taking the vast majority or work, mix in other WRs like Washington (formerly Bryant) and the fringe wr1/high end wr2 view on juju was just unrealistic and based off him being a fun personality who had some big splash plays and impactful/memorable games as a rookie. also i think people go "wow look how sick nasty he was as a 20 year old, the sky is the limit!" i agree with this, and it is dynasty afterall, but i think his best years wont happen for another 2-3, i would buy him after this season if his numbers are what i expect them to be and while people are down on him

Overreaction to Pittsburgh wanting a 3rd received. No change at all from where he was valued before the draft, after Bryant was traded, and post draft. I fully expected Bryant to be moved and fully expected Pittsburgh rostering more than two receivers

I don't know if it'll be half or not...though I think it probably will, but what I am pretty sure of is that their numbers will be closer to each other this year than they were last year. AB is another year older, and Juju is another year more experienced. I think you're going to see their numbers getting closer and closer each year until AB hangs it up.

:?: I think that you are a bit too low on juju. Unrealistically low to be honest.

maybe we need a thread of in forum season bets?? that would be fun.

maybe saying "wont be half" was harsh, should have said "closer to half"

I'm a steeler fan and a juju fan, i just think he benefited heavily from Bryant being in the dog house, a 97 yard TD (cant discredit big plays but still was a bit fluky and accounted for 1/10th of his season total), and a big final game where AB was hurt and could not be relied on heavily (juju got 9 grabs when he had been averaging more like 4-5 a game)

i just think its more likely you see what he usually did, 3-5 grabs and <75 yards (10 of 14 games). With an occasional TD of course.

Since 2013 - AB has at least doubled the yardage of the second receiver on the team, so I'm not sure it as far fetched as suggested.
He was on pace to do it last year as well - but then he got hurt, unfortunately.

The second wide receiver in Pittsburgh never lives up to "expectations" since the AB era took off. Be careful of expecting a lot while AB is there.

I admit, I was surpised last year by juju's quick success. I along with many others didn't see it coming so quickly. Anyway, I watched Juju and I saw a crazy intense competitor. I saw a player who possesses the ability for big plays, the consistency to be relied upon, and the ability to produce both in the real game of football in the NFL and for our fantasy scoring purposes. I saw tough blocking, good hands, good routes, good speed and good general NFL game awareness. I'm not at all saying he is at AB's level. I am saying that some on this forum are minimizing what the 20 year old was able to do. I don't understand why? Did we not watch the same kid? Do you not think he'll continue on a normal progression of learning? Seems odd to minimize / not recognize the success of a 20 year old wr.

I think the Pitt reliance on AB, as spectacular as he is, is unhealthy.

I expect AB's numbers to come down slightly and Juju to put up 65-75% of AB's numbers in a more balanced attack. This year it might be on the lower end ~65%, next year ~70-75%

I think it is tough to look at the targets and expect that efficiency again. I really like JuJu, but I expect his ceiling to be capped as long as AB and Bell are there. Still, nothing wrong with that, as he is so young, but I don't think WR1 numbers are possible for years, yet. He may be Rudolph's go to guy down the road, but he better not be one of your main options at receiver for the next few years.
