If Ben retires after this year, the Steelers just don't strike me as the type of team that is going to let the situation fester. Whether it be trading up in the draft or going for an available QB like a Garropolo or an Alex Smith, I feel like they are going to aggressively address the situation.

As others noted, long-term organizational stability really is working in Juju's favor here. The Steelers are perennial competitors with the talent they have assembled; I doubt they are going to throw that away.

Bumping this thread given we’ve now seen him in the second half of the season. Injured and out for 1 game, and suspended for 1 other, but I’ve not seen anything to discount what he did in the first half of the year.

What do we think of him now? Pit has drafted a lot of WR’s in the past, but I don’t see anyone who has done what he has for them in his first season. It looks like Bryant will not be back with the team next year (my guess is he’ll want more money than Pit is willing to pay given Bell is due a big payday)... where does this put him from a dynasty WR ranking perspective?

Bryant is still under contract as far as I know.

Anywho, I'm very excited to watch him develop. He already looks like one of the best young WRs to come out since 2014. Right behind Thomas, Hill, Diggs and Amari. I'd have him alongside Davis. Ahead of Parker, Shepard & Coleman.

Lukky, you are correct and I was mistaken, he is signed through 2018.

When AB and Bell are not around...Juju is really on fire tonite ! Ok that's the Browns :D He's gonna finish with 900+ yards and 7 receiving TDs. His catch rate and his yards per target are special.

He really does remind me of the early Reggie Wayne days, you can see the potential, but know that he doesn't really have a shot at super stardom until Marvin Harrison isn't in the way any more. To flash this way as a rookie, and as a true #2 has me exited. I don't think I'll be selling for less than 1.01 this off season
QBs: Dak Prescott, Teddy Bridgewater, Taysom Hill, Jameis Winston, Jalen Hurts, Andy Dalton
RBS: CMC, Miles Sanders, Gurley, JK Dobbins, AJ Dillon, Lamical Perine, Ito Smith
WRS: Godwin, DJ Moore, Juju, Keenan Allen, Diggs, McLaurin, Dionte Johnson, Jalen Reagor, Bryan Edwards, Brandon Aiyuk, Tim Patrick
TEs: Mark Andrews, TJ Hockenson, Irv Smith

:snooty:

And then he will definitely be on your team next year . No one is trading Saquon for JuJu ... Now @ 1.02 is where it gets dicey

What if Sutton goes to SF ?... Or Guice to SF , Cleveland or Detroit ? You wouldn't trade Juju S-S (who is 3rd option in Pitt) for a bona fide number one option ? Not to mention Ben could be gone at any time to retirement :liar:

It's kind of funny how every player coming into the NFL that I think is solid yet unspectacular turns out to be a really good pro. Jordan Howard, Diggs, Michael Thomas, Juju. Kind of interesting how being a solid all-around player allows you to grow in the NFL, whereas more flashy players that have a "higher ceiling" (but with more deficiencies) struggle more. I really need to incorporate this concept more into my evaluation process for rookies.

To be fair I definitely mean the 1.01 right now. After the draft I very well might move him for one of those players in those situations, but right now I'm seeing him as a long term investment with flex/fill in upside for my team. Sutton could wind up with a rookie year like Davis, and then where is his value? I'd personally take Juju over Davis at this point.

Juju status- MB leaving and Washington coming

Postby hockeyBjj » Sat Apr 28, 2018 6:23 am

I was exhilarated when Bryant left, not that I expected a lot of competition from him, that JuJu was now the clear and free #2 behind AB

A round two investment in a WR with a similar skill set and usage as JuJu makes me fear they're gonna use their two young receivers to split the work behind the top dog

How do things affect you? JuJu still a mad hyped prospect worth around or more than the 1.2 and Washington isn't a threat in the slightest and just a body to fill in? Or has this cooled JuJu some?

This is just how Pittsburgh does it. They're always adding receiver talent. This definitely hurts JuJu. The question is how much it does. I could see JuJu still producing at a relatively high level, but I could also see him and Washington splitting and hurting each other.

I think it was inevitable that they were going to bring in another WR, if you are an offense-heavy team you need 3 WRs. That is just the reality. Something the Steelers have proven.

Of course it hurts JuJu and people are naive if they think it does not. The passing game runs through AB & Bell, JuJu and Washington will get the scraps.

I think people were already unreasonably high on JuJu, especially since 2 of his 3 big games came with AB hurt. This should bring him down more-so to where he already should have been.

Betcha JuJu's numbers will be closer to AB's than you think.
