Pay 1.6 and 1.8 for 1.3?

Postby hockeyBjj » Thu Apr 26, 2018 6:25 am

Well, with Michel having the Jay Ajayi bone on bone knee condition, I see a top 3 RBs of Barkley, Guice, Chubb. My team 1 in sig needs a stud RB and I feel I can make a championship run. I've gone after Zeke, Gurley, Bell, DJ, Freeman, Gordon, and Kamara in my league and have been told all are unmovable. So frustrating

I tried 1.6 and 1.8 for 1.2 a while back. Should I try offering 1.6 and 1.8 for 1.3 of Chubb? Or standing pat and maybe the draft day slide will net me Michel (my previous 1.3 with him over Chubb) at 1.6 with some value there?

Also update, perhaps see if 1.2 owner is interested and worried about Penny and Michel going ahead of Guice?

If you are looking for a rookie RB to push you over the top this year, you have to wait until after draft. Landing spot will determine the near term impact of rookies. If Chubb lands on Philly (not saying that's likely), his year 1 impact could be greatly diminished. A vet like McCoy would likely help you more this year and you could probably get him with just one of those picks.

This is literally the same situation I am in for my team 1. I have offered both the 1.6 and 1.8 to the 1.2 and 1.3 owners. The 1.2 owner said he would need a 19 1st at minimum added and the 1.3 guy said he would need to wait until after the draft. Both owners are on the rebuild end of things so I thought they would be all about the extra pick...but I was wrong.
Too many to list...

Wait to see where Michel goes. It is not certain he has knee issues. As the owner of the 1.03, I would probably take this offer, as my team is rebuilding. I would hold off until after you know landing spots, though. If Guice or Chubb go somewhere like Dallas it clouds things a bit.

1.06 and 1.08 for me. I've always thought Barkley was in a tier of his own like everyone else, but I also thought the same about Guice in that second tier. Everyone else was all bunched up fairly close to one another in the 3rd tier. Michel was my only outlier who I liked at 1.03, but now I'm concerned as well with all the injury talks.

I've got the 1.05 in my league and I'm praying Michel falls to me. Realistically besides for the top 4-5 RB's in the NFL most running backs are only RB1's 2-4 years at the most, If I can get 2-3 years of RB1 production from michel I'd be ecstatic

Bump after the 1st round shocker of Penny and Michel but no Guice or Chubb

Also, make a play for 1.2 with the 1.6 and 1.8 as maybe owner is worried whereas I think there's a chance Guice ends up in a much better spot early in the 2nd? (Tampa is honestly what I think)

yup to both
McCoy owner would probably deal him for my 1.8, no less, but I'm not sure how Shady will do this year for starters, and 2nd the rest of my team core is so young, I don't want to throw away a 1st for 1 year of a vet I'm not positive will be enough to win me the championship

Wilson
Cook, D Henry
OBJ, Evans, Landry, Juju
H Henry

If around week 6 McCoy is putting up top 8 numbers and like to continue and my team is looking like a top 3 in need of something to put it over the top, then I would make a rental move, but not at the start of a season when that first could be healthy addition (or bust) that fits in well generationally with the rest of my team wether I pick there or use to move up and pick a higher rookie

Really do appreciate the feedback though
