Jordan Matthews value after signing?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Jordan Matthews value after signing?

Postby Gator Sens » Fri Apr 06, 2018 10:49 am

What does everyone think Matthews is worth now? He seems to have landed in a solid spot (at least this year) and has produced in the past.

Doesn't change much for me. Good spot or not, I don't envision him doing much with it. I don't think he's worth anything more than a 3rd.

It's all speculation at this point. I'd like to think that he would be more successful in a good system like New England.

He definitely got a bump in value, but it's not enough to make any real difference. If you have him, continue to hold and hope he has a solid season

Mid to late 2nd, which I agree with. If I have him I'm looking for an early 2nd right now. Not looking to buy.

Very very good first couple years with Philly without any real help and not a good QB , Then goes to Buff where he was hurt with a bad team around him , Now goes to the best QB ever but what will he play with Edelman already in the slot ?

For me I would want a early 2nd but won't get it so he is a strong hold

Just traded Yeldon/3.02 for him before the signing. Wouldn’t move him now unless I got two early 2nds or a late 1st.

He could end up playing either slot role depending on the calls and potentially a motion outside wr, the patriots usually go wiht 3-4 wide as it is so i think there is a GREAT chance he hits 1000yds and who knows about edleman, he turns 32 before the season starts and is injured every other year for significant amounts of time.

i could also see him playing outside since the patriots dont really employ a typical "2-possession" outside set, he could easily be a downfield threat. it will be interesting to see if hes healthy for camp and how his preseason goes. im a huge fan so i wish him the best, but impossible to determine how he'll be used or the frequency, hes got a great attitude and has all the skills, so i do see him being a TB favorite.
