Don't forget - Russell played injured the majority of 2016, which AT LEAST assisted in the low passing TDs and he finished with 230 less rushing yards that season than his previous low mark for a season.

So to answer the OP's question: Yes, he is an elite QB 1 who only has to throw for 30 TDs to be in the top 3-5 QB conversation each year thanks to his rushing ability. He has several more years before his rushing numbers start to dip.

So you "love" him but do not think he is an elite QB 1 unless he has more weapons this year? Your last sentence contradicts the rest considering he finished as the QB 1 last year when "Seattle in general wasn't very good" and was "22nd in the league in average drive length."

^^this + on paper, the demise of legion of boom would seem to put more burdon on Wilson to produce even more aye.
