Re: Completed Offseason Superflex Trades
We've had a bunch, but I'll post the only one that involved a QB:
RCC gave up 1.06; 1.09; 2.07; Year 2019 Round 1 (projected late);Year 2020 Round 2 Draft Pick
OFO gave up Carr, Derek OAK QB
(The other blockbuster centered on D. Freeman for 1.02.)
EDIT: Oops -- this was a 2QB league. Ignore this post (@admin: could you delete it, please?).

Re: Completed Offseason Superflex Trades
You all should remember to mention league size for these trades. Obviously big difference between 10 team and 16 team superflex...
That said, I've made one superflex trade this offseason in a 32 team (2 copy) league. Gave Flacco for the 1.32 and Ivory. Based the decision to make the trade partially by looking at last year's rookie draft in a different league (same format) that many of the same owners are in and where rookie QBs were drafted. Also have multiple picks (1.06, 1.11, 1.22, 1.30, 1.32, 2.01, 2.06, 2.11, 2.12, 2.13, 2.24, 4 3rds, 4 4ths and a 5th), so I'll probably package some picks to move around and/or grab some players. Especially after that move, I'm in desperate need of a QBs with Bradford being my only QB that might get a shot at a starting gig.

Re: Completed Offseason Superflex Trades
Traded Watson
Received Newton and 100bb.
Felt it was a lat move which took out the unknowns of what Watson could end up being. As long as Newton has his legs he will continue to be an elite option in my league scoring settings.

Re: Completed Offseason Superflex Trades
Would have kept Watson here. Both have had injuries but I'd prefer the youth. Watson's shown me enough.

Re: Completed Offseason Superflex Trades
Did not involve me...but here’s a blockbuster...
16 team superflex, .5 ppr
Team 1 gave up Zeke
Team 2 gave up Cousins, Gronk, Jeffery, and Ajayi
At first I was like WTF that’s a massive overpay for Team 2. But after looking at it, it’s not bad. Jeffery and Ajayi don’t do much for me, but they could be startable players on some teams (they are startable for Team 1). Gronk I like but his injuries and retirement talks make him unreliable. Team 2 also has Kelce, and due to starting requirements, it’s hard to start both Gronk and Kelce because the only flex we have is the superflex. Cousins in my opinion was the most valuable piece on the package side and he has questionmarks as well.
My thoughts are that sometimes you gotta pay to get your guy, especially when that guy is Zeke. What I thought was a clear overpay at first...but really isn’t bad considering team makeup.

Re: Completed Offseason Superflex Trades
To me it depends on who team 2 still has at QB. I can see both sides depending on the situation.slaughterrt wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 2:57 pm Did not involve me...but here’s a blockbuster...

Re: Completed Offseason Superflex Trades
I think that's a great trade for McCarron, and I wish I played with more owners who would do such a deal (and valued picks as such) They sold mccarron a little low imo (future 2nd, from a contender?), but got value from a guy who might make it.however this is one of the deepest draft classes and free agent pools we have seen in recent memory. Multiple starting jobs are up in the air.I was laughed away when I offered a 2nd, they would rather boom / bust with their qb5, then cash out
PPR IDP Contract Cap:
ConF (16 Team)
DAF (16 team)
DW2- Co-Commish (16 Team)

Re: Completed Offseason Superflex Trades
Yeah I probably could have held longer to see if I could get more but in the end it was a combination of league QB pricing (Keenum went for a single 3rd), rosters (most teams have 2 solid QBs at least for 1 more year), my team plan, and original cost (basically profit is about doubled).millworkguy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2018 3:05 pmI think that's a great trade for McCarron, and I wish I played with more owners who would do such a deal (and valued picks as such) They sold mccarron a little low imo (future 2nd, from a contender?), but got value from a guy who might make it.however this is one of the deepest draft classes and free agent pools we have seen in recent memory. And while I think McCarron will get a starting gig, or at least a shot at one, if he gets Glennoned in the NFL draft then I could have been out of luck finding a buyer if I wanted or needed one later. As long as he doesnt turn into the next Cousins I am ok with it. as I'm alright if I appear to lose a little with some / each trade if down the road the overall picture is a solid win for my team.

Re: Completed Offseason Superflex Trades
Maybe but 16 team increases the value of entrenched starting Qb's and depth exponentially I would think. 10 or 12 team I can see your point but idk about in a 16 teamer.slaughterrt wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 2:57 pm Did not involve me...but here’s a blockbuster...
