Which 7?

Postby SD Palooka » Sun Mar 13, 2011 4:31 pm

Which 7 would you keep? (League details in signature)

QB - M. Vick, B. Roethlisberger

RB - R. Mendenhall, F. Gore, R. Mathews, J. Stewart

WR - V. Jackson, B. Marshall, D. Bryant, J. Maclin, M. Colston

Just wanted to check the pulse of others. I can only keep 3 at any one position for a total of 7.

Thanks for the opinions.

I think all of your WRs are pretty close in potential, so I chose the three that I prefer, but couldn't really argue against any of them...

RB is pretty solid with Mendy, Gore and Mathews.

I went Vick at QB, but you need another top guy because of Vick's injury potential. I'd be very tempted to keep Roethlisberger as well, with ten teams, guess I'd rather keep all starters, then pick up a QB early in the draft.

When it comes to the draft, I think each of the players you don't protect will be pretty close to the top of your draft list. I like your situation going into the season.

Thanks for the inputs.

I'm glad I've asked as Colston is 3 for 3 in the post's and I wouldn't have thought that. He was #5 on my list. With the all too familiar off-season surgeries and the lack of a "true" 1WR in New Orleans; I'm kinda surprised. Oh, and all the hype around Graham (who I'm high on).

Also, no votes for Dez. Is he to young? Too much hype? What am I missing?

You guys are definitely making me re-evaluate the WR's.

Dez would get more support if it were dynasty. I'll admit that in redraft, I look at only the coming season and maybe one season beyond, and that means that it's based more on previous production and current situation.

Also the reason that I didn't suggest Stewart - that could possibly change when we get closer to the season and see the various RB situations - I just see Mathews as developing into a feature back sooner than Stewart does.
