I'm always looking for more opinions and valuations for SF. What are your rankings/tiers and what does that value equate to in a PPR league?

How many quarterbacks jump into the elite status, as far as assets are concerned?

I'd probably put Rodgers Wilson and wentz in a league of their own.

Newton is at the top of that next tier for me with jamies

i also think Mariota is too low, but understand it...

in a 1QB league, i own smith/mahomes and wilson and i am gonna try to sell wilson in the offseason...hope to get someone like winston and high 2nd...depending how good Mahomes looks

If it's standard scoring, then all the QBs are very valuable. But if you lower the floors by using a -2 or even a -3 penalty for INTs, and reduce the yardage points, then things get a little more interesting. The top QBs will still have tremendous value, but the bottom half of the starting QBs really plummet in value. This makes things much better, imho, as there's not an arms race to get 3 or more QBs. And someone can survive not having a 2nd starting QB, if they've got a really good set of WRs or RBs.

My preferred QB scoring approach (assuming standard positional scoring with 0.5 or full PPR):

4pts for TDs
2pts for 100 yards (incremented, 0.02 per yard, if my math is correct)
-3pts for INTs
-2pts for Pick6s

@Space Cowboy, I’m moving Luck out of the top tier and not even the headliner of tier 2. I’m also down on Dak and would add Cam and Watson to the top tier.

I’d also let someone else pay that price on Garoppolo with so little sample size. But I’m willing to b wrong on him, which means I’ll never own him. But ur paying for him at a projected ceiling at that ranking.

I’d drop Brees into tier 3 and move Tyrod and Alex Smith into tier 2. Really your tier 2 might be more useful to you if u viewed them as a Tier 2 for a contender (bringing Ben, Brady, Brees, Rivers into view) and a Tier 2 for a builder (where u can dismiss the older guys and buy years of production instead of immediate top production).

I love where u have Case Keenum and wish I had made a move for him around week 5-8. Now I think his owners are becoming believers themselves and will make u pay full price for him. I’m usually slow to react (see my Garoppolo comment) to small sample sizes.

Thanks for sharing ur tiers, it’s fun to see the differences between players.

Gosh I love superflex. I wish all my leagues were superflex.

Tier 1:
Rodgers & Wilson

Tier 2:
A cluster of 10-12 other guys

Let's be real - this is pretty accurate. Obviously Wentz, Goff & Watson are the hot names right now. Before this year there was Winston & Mariota - and lets not forget the influx of posts suggesting Carr is THE QB1. Or suggesting it's Dak. Next year it will be a couple more hot names like Jimmy G and probably a rookie or 2nd year guy. You got guys like Luck that people love. A controversial one like Cam or Cousins. Then reliable guys like Stafford and old man Rivers.

We put a premium on age around these parts - I get it, but ARod & Wilson are in that top tier; then it's the other guys.

Ahhh... Nothing like personal rankings arguments to fill the off season with moments as exciting as watching paint dry.

I appreciate seeing people’s ranking actually. Shows variety and difference of opinion on what type of deals could be made if you can see a crossing point.

What I enjoy less is people who nit pick peoples rankings without providing their own, or context of their own in comparison. “You’re too low on X” doesn’t add much unless you say why you think they should be higher and who moved down as a result (or where you’d put them in the same rank instead).

For me, I will have to give thought as to my ranks and post later.

Your right FiremanEd. I should have done just that on my previous post. I’ll come back to it when I’m on my comp since my tiered ranks aren’t on my phone.
