Trade Completed - How did I do?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade Completed - How did I do?

Postby dabearsfan » Tue Feb 08, 2011 9:36 am

I am guessing most are going to say I overpaid and I agree, however, I wanted to add a young stud RB and had the depth to make this deal. I tried several other alternatives and this was the going rate for someone of Rice's caliber. Here is the deal I completed...

I gave: SJax, Maclin and Lynch
I got: Ray Rice

Please be kind. :D

You definitely overpaid, but had the depth to do it if you are a huge Rice believer.

If you over paid it wasn't by much.

I truly believe that dynasty is a lot about having convictions about certain players and doing what it takes to acquire them (or trade them). Clearly you feel strongly about Ray Rice and you did what it took to get him. I applaud that. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks really - it's your team and you should have the guys you want.

Good trade.

I really ike this trade for you. Rice is a stud and Jackson has maybe 1-2 years left so to me this trade is pretty much Maclin for Rice.

Well Done.

I agree that you should trade and get what you are targeting and you did that! I'm not going to predict when and if SJax is going to fade but the truth is he has a year or two left as a premier RB (I think I'm being generous). Maclin is a solid WR and has a great repoire with Michael Vick plus MLynch is an enigma - not sure what you are going to get!
I will add that this is the type of trade where you may have gotten back a draft pick in return. Not a 1st rounder but something...I like the challenge of having some picks where I can roll the dice and it was a pick I acquired...
