Which TE pick-up for a Tanking Team, and Why?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I would probably pick up McDonald as we saw what Heath Miller can do in that offense. I don't think the points he puts up this season will significantly affect your tanking efforts. Everett and Shaheen will take a few years to develop, but those would be my other choices.
12 Team (2014 Champ, 2016 2nd, 2021 Champ) 1.0 PPR, 1.5 TE, Superflex, Start 9, 1-2 QB, 2-4 RB, 3-4 WR, 1-3 TE

QB - J. Hurts, M. Stafford, K. Cousins
RB - S. Barkley, D. Cook, E. Elliot, T. Pollard, A. Mattison
WR - D. Adams, DK Metcalf, A. Cooper, C. Ridley, R. Anderson, C. Davis, J. Jones
TE - M. Andrews, G. Kittle, M. Cox

This is what I was leaning towards. There are a lot of Everett lovers on this forum, but I do not see it. Shaheen has a chance to be a focal point for Trubisky targets, moving forward. What rookie QB wouldn't want to chuck it to a guy that is 6'6"? :D

See if you can trade Sproles after a blow-up week, he could have some value to a contender.

I'm in a similar boat reloading after trading Gronk.

For TE's, I like Everett > Shaheen > Kittle > ASJ over Allen / Washington / Carson / Henderson / Breida as far as long-term stashes. They're prime pass-catching lottery tickets, might as well pick up a couple. Much higher draft capital spent by their respective teams in need of pass catchers and the TE market will shake up next year.
10tm HPR SF - Start 9 - Year 9 Champion
Murray, Tagovailoa, Cousins, Winston, Ben
JT, Jacobs, Mixon, Dillon, Edwards, Mcfarland, Kelley, Mitchell
Evans, Cooper, DJ Chark, Claypool, Davis, M. Williams, E. Moore, Hamler, DPJ
Kittle, Hockenson, Gesicki, Everett

10tm HPR HPFD SF - Start 9 - Year 1 Runner-up
Murray, Stafford, Cousins, Jones, Lock, Bridgewater
Mixon, Akers, Henderson, Dillon, J. Williams, Edwards, Pollard
Jefferson, DJ Moore, Lamb, Claypool, Reagor, Davis
Kittle, Andrews, Hockenson

The only reason why I am so heavy on RBs is because it is my weakest position. I am hoping at least one of them turns into a valuable long term asset and the rest can be sold off when injuries hit.

Give Sproles a week or two to see how Philly games play out. Roto reports are he is going to be worked heavy, given space to run (short passing) and may eclipse Blount.

If you don't buy in, then smile and sell it to the Blount owner (or any other owner of a suspended, hurt, or old RB) and see if you can get better value in a trade than there is on your waiver.
THE PYRATES. Terrorizing this league since 2006 - Playoffs (06,07,10,11,13-16,18, 19)
4 Division titles, 5 Superbowls (2006, 2013-2016), 2013 CCFL Champions

QB: D.Watson, T.Bridgewater, C.Newton, AJ.McCarron, J.Hurts-R
RB: D.Henry, K.Drake, A.Dillon-R, D.Evans-R, R.Armstead, D.Lewis, F.Gore, B.Hill, D.Williams, D.Dallas-R,
WR: M.Evans, J.Smith-Schuster, C.Ridley, C.Kirk
TE: T.Kelce, C.Herndon
K: M.Gay, M.Prater

14-team, 2 division, non-ppr with salary caps. Starts 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, K, DST
Pillage FIRST! THEN burn. Doing it the other way around is pointless.
