I would take AJ, just too much risk with only 1 year if production and Brees impending retirement.

Also, nice work on your 3yr rebuild. If you have the 1.01 or 1.02 (depending on which team you are talking about) you can get your RB there.

Give me AJG over MT. I know we love youth in dynasty, so I can understand the MT love, but AJG is 29, and he can easily guarantee you another 3-4 years of very good production. And honestly fantasy football, and football itself is far too unpredictable to try to plan things out further down the road than that, imo.

My faith in the board is slightly restored, seeing AJG take this handily :D

Green is so consistent, such a smooth athlete, has no chronic injuries, has a pretty stable situation. He is the type of guy that has a slow decline in production into his mid-30's, as opposed to falling off of a cliff. I have a lot of confidence in him producing a few more elite years, and a couple good starting years after that. I don't have the same confidence in Thomas over the next few years/ post-Brees (which may be as soon as next year). Give me Green without hesitation.
If Thomas hits post-Brees, he would provide a lot more value over his career, but things don't get much surer than AJG over the next few years.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Don't get me wrong, I like Thomas too, and I can totally see a plausible future where one would look back and wish they had taken Thomas. But he has a lot more uncertainty about his future than AJG does right now, and futures where this trade never looks good seem more likely.

I'm only looking at 3 year windows, so give me AJG over Thomas. I think Thomas is the real deal but I would not pass up the opportunity to get a player like AJG who I know for a fact will put up top numbers for me.
