Draft Strategy/Advice (POLL)

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What is your advice?

Stay put and let the draft happen.

Try to get a 2nd at all costs, in order to draft Lynch.

Draft Strategy/Advice (POLL)

Postby FKC » Tue May 23, 2017 4:32 pm

My Rookie/FA draft is in 2 weeks and I have been trying to add another 2nd. This is for the team in my sig. If I am able to get another 2nd, I plan on taking Beastmode and who I think is BPA. I would really like to make this happen without overpaying. I am not a fan of this draft class. I've been trying to move Duke, but without any luck. The Crowell owner has some interest in Duke, but I don't think he is willing to give up the 2.7 for him. As the draft gets closer I am more comfortable with my current position. Should I still try to get a 2nd, in order to draft Lynch or be comfortable where I'm at? Am I putting to much stock into Lynch? I am a Raider fan, so hopefully I am not blinded by my allegiance.

Most would say you're just fine sitting at 2.3 you which i agree. You don't appear to need him that badly though. There is a strong chance he is only the 4th best RB on your roster.

I think you should let the draft happen and I wouldn't trade Duke for Lynch.

I agree. I like Lynch, but with my RB depth It would almost be a move to block someone else from getting him.

Don't go after Lynch. And I'm confused, were you trying to buy Crowell for 2.07 or trade him for the 2.07 (I don't see him in your sig, but you also stated that he wouldn't give up the 2.07 for him)? Either way, that's just terrible valuation and he is worth much, much more than that.

He was going to trade Duke to the Crowell owner for the 2.07 and use that on Lynch if I'm reading it correctly.

Correct. I edited the original post, so hopefully it's a little more clear now.

With the RB depth in this draft I would go rookie with your pick. Lynch is great and all but 31 year old RBs have a tendency to fall off a cliff.
QB - Andrew Luck, Andy Dalton
RB - Lamar Miller, Tevin Coleman, Leonard Fournette, Joe Mixon, Christian McCaffery, Joe Williams, Matt Jones, Mike Davis
WR - Michael Thomas, DeVante Parker, Tyrell Williams, Quincy Enunwa, Josh Doctson, Cooper Kupp, Josh Reynolds, Leonte Carroo, Rashard Higgins, Cameron Meredith, Adam Thielen, Krishawn Hogan, Charone Peake
TE - Martellus Bennett, Evan Engram, Clive Walford, Virgil Green
K - Greg Zuerlein

That would be a wasted pick to me, I'd much rather go after somebody like Jamaal Williams, Kupp or Njoku with the 2.07 instead
