Well, that is that, Henry is the second coming. What if he is stuck behind Murray again this year? Last time I checked, a stud back isn't eased into starting role. If Henry was as good as Elliot, he would have been 4th pick not 45th. Last year's draft was bad for the RB position. If I have a top 6 pick this year, I ain't parting with it for Henry. I may be wrong, but I have no skin in the game.

So if only 2 RBs get picked this year before 45, what then?

I am not projecting him to be a backup. I expect he will be drafted into a backup situation, much like Henry is now. Hopefully that clarifies things. Everyone puts rookies into dream scenarios but those scenarios generally do not work out.

I hear you Skip. And I can see Mixon being a backup initially if he goes to Indy, Denver, or Buffalo.

But if he goes to KC, Philly, Wash, Oakland, Detroit, GB, NYG, there's no way he's not leading the way. Idk, we shall see.

The only thing preventing Henry from breaking out is DeMarco. Henry looked really good last season. He should be worth more a little more than a mid-first.

I also disagree, simply because the numbers aren't there for it to happen. Where could Mixon be drafted that he becomes a backup the same way Henry did? Well, the only reason Henry was drafted to Tennessee was because they weren't sure how Murray would pan out. He's older and was on the Titans for only a few weeks/months.

Coleman was drafted onto the Falcons because "nobody was there". Then Freeman steps up.

That's the situation that would need to happen for Mixon to be a backup. Where do you see that happening? Buffalo perhaps. Maybe 5-6 other places just looking at the RBs out there.

But since most teams are RB-needy this season, I think it's far greater chance that he gets drafted into a starting situation.

Henry here for me. 1.06 doesn't get you one of the top RBs unless someone goes rogue and drafts Williams AND OJ or someone else ahead of one of the RBs.

As for Mixon, he could go to a number of murky situations and not be handed the keys day one (well, likely day 2, since he's not getting drafted on day 1). We pretend we know who's going to do what but we don't know - maybe Pittsburgh drafts him as insurance against LeVeon wanting a boatload of $$ next season. Nobody knows. When he's drafted is almost as important as where in terms of what kind of opportunity he has.

I wouldn't do it. I just traded Henry and Murray for the 1.07, 3.03 and Doctson. Needed a young WR and I believe Kamara or D'Onta Foreman will give me what Henry would have.

I'd take Henry, but I don't think it's as far off as some people are implying.

I would take any of this year's top 4 RBs over him. At 1.06 I'd be worried I end up with Mike Williams. So I'd probably take 1.05 over him, but not 1.06.
