Annoying Log In

Things seem to be worse for me.

I cannot login at all via desktop. On both forum and main site. Currently logged in on my phone to type this out. In desktop I click login and it refreshes the page but does not log me in at all. I've tried this about 20 times today. Tried clearing cache multiple times, doesn't fix the issue.

Please advise!!!

Yes, I cleared my cache last night and it didn't work right away after closing my browser ..

But this morning was the first time I didn't have to Log In when visiting the forum or trying to post.

Instead of retrying to login, have you tried just clicking the refresh button on your browser? I used to have that issue also where it seemed like an endless loop of clicking login, then going to the league discussion forum only to notice I'm no longer logged in. To fix this I found out a simple refresh on the browser created an auto-login almost and got be back in.

Its been doing this for me ever since the website updated a while back. It was perfect before the website overhaul. Now doesnt depend on browser, pc, phone, clearing cache, anything, it just flat out doesnt work anymore. Ive been waiting for the fix silently.

Ryan, when you say "doing this" what specifically do you mean? Did you try clearing your cache and restarting your browser since yesterday afternoon?

Eraldo, I am sorry to hear that. Not sure why that would be happening. It is especially surprising you are experiencing issues with the main website. The change I made was quite specific to the forum, and would most definitely not impact the main website. Can you try logging in with a different browser?

This is not a bad suggestion, but again, really weird behavior which I cannot reproduce. Do you have any plugins active on your web browser?

Ken-- OK, I'm on Safari now and it logged me in just fine. Maybe it's a chrome issue? At any rate, at least I know I can access the site/forum via Safari, so that's good. Not sure why Chrome is being wonky.

Current plugins I have active on Chrome right now are AdBlock Plus, Lastpass, FireShot, Honey, Dropbox, and Boomerang. Maybe it's one of those?

Been playing the 'login' game (click on main forum, logged out, click login, directed to the main forum index, select Discusion forum, logged out on page load, refresh does nothing, rinse repeat) for about 3 hours off and on now... making this post in case it starts again so someone will know...

I suggest a LogMeIn session and a phone call with someone willing who can replicate the issue readily...

Login is sporadic on chrome on my pc. Typically I have to login at least once a day. On safari on my iPhone it keeps the login a bit longer but I still have to log in more than I should. I cleared the cache several times.

The only plugin I have on chrome is uBlockOrigin and I think mine is fixed now.

By "doing this" I mean, I used to just come to work every day, and I would still be logged in, until the website overhaul happened. Now, even though I checkmark the stay logged in box, I'm logged out by the next day. Sometimes I'm logged out by lunch if I login early. I have cleared the Cache, but not since the date you mentioned, so I went ahead and just did it again. I'll update you if I'm still logged in or not tomorrow when I get back to work.

So an update on this for me- I can login fine via Safari and Chrome on iPhone, however I cannot login via Chrome on my desktop. Another weird thing is I tried logging in via Chrome from my laptop, and it worked. I guess it's just my desktop giving me fits, which makes me think even more now that it is a plugin issue.

The originally login game is still persisting for me, in that I have to log back in every few hours it seems.

For me, it's been this way for years. Whenever I leave the website, it logs me out, even if I click "Remember Me". It does it on Mobile, and on Desktop. I can click around in different forums and on different topics and it leaves me logged in, but as soon as I close the window/tab that has DLF open, it logs me out. Similarly, there seems to be no correlation between the forums and the main DLF site. Both log me out as soon as I close a window or tab.

Quick suggestion, since you are already using LastPass, if you edit your credentials for the forum url and select Autologin under Advanced settings, that may significantly improve your experience. A work-around more than a solution, but a good one.
