Should the whole front page of Dynasty League Discussion be PvP polls?!

Ok, I'll be the guy to say it.

I like gathering consensus on players as much as the next guy, but might this barrage of polls be a bit much? I know it falls in a grey area outside of Player-to-Player comparisons (which has its entire own sub-forum btw)... but isn't it a bit much to just fill the whole page with the same thing, just on different players? This is especially the case when variations of these polls already existed on the forums in many threads? Let me know if I'm being captain buzzkill, but it seems like a bit much.

I barely even notice em.. One a day doesn't seem to be a problem (imo). But I could see it becoming one if there were dramatically more.

its not like people are constantly posting in them to bring them to the top of the page. most the time theyre hot for a half hour and people realize there's not supposed to be dialect on them

I'd rather see them than the HOF league thread that seems to rear its head periodically. I don't know about anyone else, but the on-goings of another league in which I am not involved are meaningless to me. I am at least finding some value in the PvP threads in seeing the bell curve of valuation.

Not sure how this is much different than that period when Jules was doing those Player of the Day threads - I liked having them then and I like having them now. If people want different content than what others are sharing then they need to go create different content.

Another option would be to run the poll threads in a less-visited forum -- say, Player Debates -- and link to them from one master thread in the Dynasty League Discussion forum. Here's an example of that format.

This, this, this, so much this. It may not be a specific player vs one other player, but it is a debate of player's value against other players so it certainly wouldn't be out of place there.

What else was in my mind when I posted this is that we have all seen stats such as, "75% of users never scroll past the first page of search results." (https://www.searchenginejournal.com/24- ... ics/42665/). I feel that other non-value poll discussions (whatever they may be), shouldn't just get pushed back for a poll of the value of every player in the league.
