I'm helping a friend with a keeper draft this weekend....

I only play redraft & dynasty leagues, so I'm a little hazy on advice here:

My friend has the 4th pick, and they do the draft NFL style (not snakedraft). 12 teams & I don't think it's a PPR league.

They can keep 4 starters each year, and 2 reserve players. So next year if a reserve player upgrades to a starter, then that player is now 1 of the 4.

My friend's team has been a little weak and has been the recipient of some traderaping in the past.

His keepers are:

Starters: Romo, Addai, Ochocinco, Roddy White
Reserves: FJax, Finley

I looked at the other teams keeper lists, and there's a few teams that were stacked that need to drop some decent players. A few notables that will be dropped are:

Forte
Smith (NYG)
Wallace
Forsett
Meachem
Welker
Britt
McFadden
Michael Bush

In addition, all the 2010 rookies are intermingled.

I'm mainly trying to help him with the 1.4 pick. I told him without a doubt Ryan Matthews would be the best choice, but who knows if he's still there.

I'm kinda stuck in the dynasty mindset where I would rank players:

1) Matthews
2) Dez
3) Best
4) Forte or Spiller

Does that sound about right? I can then give him a list of 10 more players to target, knowing that 1 of them will still be there at 2.4.

I agree with that ranking, he needs a boost at RB.
