Justin Hunter?

Postby MrBalloonHands » Thu Oct 31, 2013 5:38 am

Hey guys,

New to the forum. I'm looking for some advice on Justin Hunter. What is the value for this guy, long term?

I haven't been able to catch any Titans games this year and I see he hasn't put up the numbers that some other rookie WRs have. That may be due to Locker going down. Like I said, I haven't actually watched any games.

I may be able to work a trade with the guy who owns him. He also has TY Hilton. I'm tempted to make a run at Hilton as I have Luck but I want to see if anyone can say anything positive for the long term play with Hunter.

Thanks for the info.

Hunter is your classic long-term upside guy. Very few people expected anything out of him this year and I'd be surprised if he makes major strides even early next year.

His snap counts from Weeks 2-7: 8, 9, 14, 18, 7, 11

The kid already has a few highlight reel touchdown receptions in big spots, despite only have three receptions on the season. That could be a sign of big things to come (think Alshon Jeffery) or a sign that the kid is athletic but doesn't know how to play the position (Jon Baldwin).

Hunter just hit the wire in league 1 in my sig. As a perennial re-builder, I may take a flier.

i own hunter in several leagues and wont be selling. i thought he was the best pure wr in the draft and my mind has not changed. im obviously wanting to see what he can do in the league, but until he gets a real chance to play, its a waiting game for me.

Just sent Wallace for Hunter and a 2nd. I was pretty high on him going into the draft, but expected him to slip further with negative reports coming out from the Titans coaching staff and grabbed Kenbrell instead (who I packaged for Nicks).

The only concern I have regarding Hunter is the lack of a strong Titans passing game. Wright seems to be the WR1 and about the only consistent option. I'm not sure why Hunter does not see more snaps. Britt rarely sees the field and Washington doesn't do much, so they don't have a strong WR group.

Hunter had an insane catch yesterday. Snaps/targets-wise things are looking up for him too if you check out the stats from yesterday.

Once Tennessee is out of play off contention, his snaps will increase exponentially in weeks 15-17. Great talent that i was able to pick up off waivers and will be holding onto.

For me it is Hunter. I had him ranked as my 3rd best rookie WR after Nuk, and CP. I was able to pick him up off waivers in week 4 after his previous owner hastily cut him and he has been on my practice squad since them. No one can sign him off my practice squad so he will remain there all through the off season and then i am keeping him for 2014 as indicated in my sig. Players in red are definite keepers while those in orange are being considered.

I'm in a spot where I could get Justin Hunter for the 2.04. But I don't necessarily NEED to. Trying to gauge value here. I imagine that there will be some decent talent left at 2.04 and Il be drafting a WR with my 1.02 so I will have to trade or drop Patton. Is Hunter worth the 2.04 and Quinton Patton?
