And you can see Vereen playing enough games? Seems like the guy is always injured. And when he's healthy he's largely ineffective.

I just don't get all the Vereen hype on this forum.

And I don't get the Ivory hype. He was his last teams 4th RB and had room to work because everyone was planning for Brees. The Jets are terrible. Absolutely terrible. They don't have a QB, and even if they did, he wouldn't have anyone to throw the ball to. Ivory will face 8-9 man fronts all year long and is going to struggle. A least with Vereen he has some upside in PPR with Woodhead gone and the Pats not having any other playmakes on the team anymore.

Like both guys this year, but in PPR you have to go Vereen. Non-ppr I'd say Ivory.

I agree. Give me Vereen for PPR, and Ivory for non-PPR. As a Jets fan it is tough for me to say that, but I think Vereen will catch a high volume of passes, and Ivory will catch very few. Hopefully I'm wrong and Ivory tears it up.

Vereen in a landslide for me in ppr, he could easily have 60+ catches and Ivory 10 or less.

8-9 man fronts in the NFL? Anyway, the Jets will always be a run first team under Ryan. The Jets finished 6th in the league in rushing attempts last year. I feel Ivory can be a top 24 guy in a very pedestrian (3.5-3.8 ypc) season based on rushing attempts alone, see Greene. If your looking for the player with the higher ceiling I think its Vereen in a PPR format.

I would say Ivory because he is the starter but the team stinks. Vereen is supposed to get more looks with Hernandez going bye-bye to visit uncle bubba...but this is New England!

Agreed. Ivory has the talent, but his team sucks. But Vereen could benefit from less targets in NE...
