Re: Murray or Mathews?
Mathews and to me it is not close. Despite the early bumps in the road, I completely trust Mathews and think he will be a top 10 RB for several years to come. Murray worries me - I don't see him ever being the sole feature back and the injuries with him worry me more for some reason.

Re: Murray or Mathews?
Both. Edge goes to Mathews as he is more proven. Both are injury prone. Both are in good situations. Both on good offenses, Both are young and have very high ceilings. I own both on my team in sig.... so, hope both do well...

Re: Murray or Mathews?
Both have potential, but I'd rather have Mathews. Despite Mathews being on the injury list often last year, he missed exactly two games, one of which was the Chargers meaningless season finale. The ability to play through injuries impresses me.

Re: Murray or Mathews?
I like both players. Matthews is more proven and also was more highly drafted.

Re: Murray or Mathews?
Is this a serious poll?
It's like asking - "Maclin or Jennings" or "Gresham or Davis."

Re: Murray or Mathews?
Don't get your point. The implied question that everyone but you seems to have understood is "Which player of the following would you rather have on your roster given a choice between the two: Murray or Mathews?" Obviously, the reason for asking such a question would help someone in a situation where a straight-up trade is on the table. It also helps to evaluate the perceived talent difference between the two players. In this case, a vast majority of people prefer Mathews. If it were 50/50, that means something.Jimmy Graham Cracker wrote:Is this a serious poll?

Maybe now you understand.

Re: Murray or Mathews?
Rather have Mathews. He's shown he can play through injuries, and I think more talented.

Re: Murray or Mathews?
I think Mathews is at worst, a top five back.
I'd take him as the third back, behind Foster and Rice.

Re: Murray or Mathews?
now that is crazy, mathews hasnt shown me anything and i am stupified that so many consider him a top 5 back. he might crack top 10 in a ppr league but he isnt that good of a back, wasnt in college, isnt now. i think it is close only because murray is almost garenteed to get injured but if both of them stay healthy for a full yr, murray will outscore mathews in every scoring format, and it would be decisive. noway mathews is a top 5 rb this yr or any yearSpinkso wrote:I think Mathews is at worst, a top five back.

Re: Murray or Mathews?
I think the majority of people would argue otherwise. I too Mathews at 1.09 in a startup, as the 4th RB off the board. I wouldn't take him before Foster/Rice/McCoy, but I have no problem with him in that spot.??Droppedballs?? wrote:now that is crazy, mathews hasnt shown me anything and i am stupified that so many consider him a top 5 back. he might crack top 10 in a ppr league but he isnt that good of a back, wasnt in college, isnt now. i think it is close only because murray is almost garenteed to get injured but if both of them stay healthy for a full yr, murray will outscore mathews in every scoring format, and it would be decisive. noway mathews is a top 5 rb this yr or any yearSpinkso wrote:I think Mathews is at worst, a top five back.

I don't spinkso. I think taking Mathews over McCoy in any format is basically FF suicide.Spinkso wrote:I think Mathews is at worst, a top five back.

Re: Murray or Mathews?
All thing considered in a dynasty league I think maclin versus jennings is a legit question.Jimmy Graham Cracker wrote:Is this a serious poll?

Re: Murray or Mathews?
I see both players having similar upside potential but Mathews is less of a risk so that is how I voted. Murray was hurt all through college and got hurt last year. Mathews has less risk and for me, that is always the deciding factor.
