How do you see the dynasty outlook of DeeJay Dallas?
Carson and Penny are both injury prone. Penny will be a UFA after this season, and it remains to be seen if the Hawks will bring him back.
Carson has 1 more year left to his contract, but doesn't carry around a whole lot of dead cap. I don't think they will let both Penny and Carson go, but I wouldn't completely rule it out, either.
Travis Homer is also still around, but Dallas looks like the more talented RB.
Bottom line - is it worth carrying him over to the next season?
Or is it safe to cut him?
The other guys on my roster bubble are KJ Osborn and Dee Eskridge (I'm stacked on WR) or Davis Mills (single QB league, also got Trey Lance, Daniel Jones and Jameis Winston).

Thank you! Does that SXM part of your username refer to my favorite place in the Caribbean?
I'm leaning that way, too. Eskridge has shown flashes in his rookie year, but Lockett and Metcalfe aren't going anywhere soon.

It does, my wife and I got married there, the username has just kind of stuck

Dallas is a gamble and an unknown long term but I think he is worth the stash with the uncertainty around the Seattle backfield.

Re: Thoughts on DeeJay Dallas?
I agree that Dallas is better than the rest of them but I think Seattle either signs a FA or drafts a RB. They have been hurting at RB. If DJ had any hops I think he would have shown it already. I think chances were there, Seattle just doesn't feel like he is the alpha.

Thanks for the feedback!
Would you prefer D'Ernest Johnson over DeeJay Dallas? He's a free agent after the season and performed admirably whenever he was needed. If that is enough to secure a meaningful role anywhere is a completely different question, of course.

What about DeeJay Dallas value now that Penny has resigned with the Seahawks?
I dropped Dallas a few weeks back to bring my roster to regulation.
I was torn between Dallas and Kene Nwangwu, and I decided to keep Nwangwu at that time.
Dallas is still floating around on waivers. I'd like to grab him, but I just can't figure out anyone to drop.

Re: Thoughts on DeeJay Dallas?
I personally think he is a roster clogger, that being said normally I'd rather have an RB roster clogger than a WR one, unless I'm rebuilding. But before you drop Eskridge, you may want to consider trading a QB like Jones, Mills or Winston. I don't see a reason to have 4 or more QBs on your roster outside of Superflex.

Dallas isnt going to happen, Seattle could have given him the chance and they chose not to. I would look elsewhere for higher upside or players with a set roll like Gainwell or Himes.

Re: Thoughts on DeeJay Dallas?
Thanks, but in a 20 team league, players like Gainwell and Hines are not available on waivers.
I have RB's like D'Ernest Johnson, Ke'Shawn Vaughn, and Kene Nwangwu on my roster
Re: Thoughts on DeeJay Dallas?
I have Nwangwu stashed in a 12-team league. Dude's got tremendous big-play potential.
As for Dallas, I carried him over to 2022. My current roster in that league (12 team, single QB, full PPR) reads:
QB: Trey Lance, Daniel Jones, Jameis Winston, Mitch Trubisky, Tyler Huntley
RB: Travis Etienne, Sony Michel, Ronald Jones, Kenneth Gainwell, Nyheim Hines, Myles Gaskin, J.D. McKissic, DeeJay Dallas
WR: Ja'Marr Chase, Jaylen Waddle, Michael Pittman, Van Jefferson, Jakobi Meyers, K.J. Osborn, Laviska Shenault, D'Wayne Eskridge
TE: Dalton Schultz, Pat Freiermuth
Solid team, if it wasn't for the RB position. And I don't have a 1st round pick this year.
Trubisky and Huntley will be cut before our draft. Gaskin and Eskridge are cut candidates as well. We have an unlimited number of draft rounds in that league, so the more players I cut, the more draft picks I get (we draft rookies + free agents).
I'll probably keep Dallas for the moment, as I don't think I'll be able to draft a better player with the additional late round pick I'd free up by cutting him. But I don't see him surviving the pre week 1 roster cuts, when we trim rosters down to 20 players, unless Carson or Penny suffer a preseason injury.

Not bad, but you are hurting at RB. Here's my roster in a 20 team 1 QB PPR:ZakHH wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 2:32 pm I have Nwangwu stashed in a 12-team league. Dude's got tremendous big-play potential.

RB's: Jonathan Taylor, Michael Carter, Ronald Jones, Ke'Shawn Vaughn, D'Ernest Johnson, Kene Nwangwu
WR's: CeeDee Lamb, Tee Higgins, DJ Moore, Christian Kirk, Parris Campbell
TE's: Mark Andrews, Irv Smith
I just pulled a 3 for 1 to pick up Tee Higgins, so now I have 2 more spots open.
I am having a hard time picking between James White and DeeJay Dallas. White has more potential, but he is 30 years old, and he will tie up a spot on my bench. Dallas has 1 more year of Taxi eligibility (up to 3rd year players allowed on Taxi), so I could stash Dallas, unlike White.
The 2nd spot I want to use on a DB, because I sent a DB away in the trade, and Micah Hyde is on waivers.
If there wasn't a good DB on waivers I probably would have grabbed both White and Dallas

Re: Thoughts on DeeJay Dallas?
Deep league he's a nice stash and potential flex during bye's/injuries. Again, in a deep league.
