Even as a Jones owner, I would rather hold Carter and see if he is the guy for New York.

I have to go AJ Dillon on talent and the fact that GB will keep a RBBC. Michael Carter is a lessor prospect than Dillon. Dillon is a monster with 2nd round draft capital. With Williams gone, Dillon will likely slot in to 15-20 touches a game with some goal line work due to size. Early reports say that Coleman is impressing in NY and thinking back to his days in ATL, his strengths were pretty similar to what Carter can be. This is still a very raw offense in NY.

I go Dillon decisively.

I lean Dillon as well. I just think he is a better talent and prefer to bet on that over opportunity
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

X3. Dillon has the size to be a workhorse and has been getting some kudos for his receiving ability this off-season. I’ve always liked Dillon a lot even before his landing spot due to his size/speed combo and he’s surprisingly light on the feet for a big guy.

Dillon had some nice moments but I ant buy in just yet. No D even prepped for him. Carter is an explosive game changer, for me it’s not that close.

I think he gets respectable touches but I don’t think he approaches 20 touches a game with a healthy Jones there after getting paid.

Dillon pretty easily for me. I don't put much stock into NYJ OTA blurbs.

15-20 touches/game sounds overly ambitious and quite frankly a pipe dream.

Also,
while I know he is light at 201# for a feature back, the kid looked the part at UNC. His agility and receiving skills, coupled with opportunity gives him a solid floor. It would be foolish to write off his upside…..RB is the one position where draft capital may be a bit overrated.

Would Mike Davis make the trade work? I like both Dillion and Carter, but they both have situations. Carter might have the better path to start but how often will the Jets not be trailing by a lot? Dillion would be top 10 (maybe 5) if there is an injury to Jones.

They're back to back in my rankings; for very different reasons but they both are similar. I'd add minimally to trade swap between them.

Also, I could not disagree more about the RB draft capital statement. To me, draft capital at th RB position is nearly everything. Javonte Williams was worth 2 late firsts in my league this year. Had he went in the 3rd or beyond in the real NFL draft there's no way that would be happening.

Dillon for sure for me. The lead back in NYJ isn't going to help you much anyways and Carter might not be the lead. Dillon has a much larger upside IMO (if Jones goes down) and I expect him to have as big a role as Carter anyways if everyone is healthy.
