Smith vs Waddle vs Williams

Postby ThatGuyBrian » Wed May 12, 2021 12:12 pm

My team right now is in full on rebuild mode, and I currently have the first five picks of the draft. All my picks are pretty standard until I get to pick five and that is where the conundrum comes in.

1.01 Harris
1.02 Etienne
1.03 Pitts
1.04 Chase

At pick five I have to make a selection from three players Williams, Waddle and Smith. I understand the best player approach but at the same time, who of those three pose the least potential to best.

Adding three RBS in a full rebuild could be risky long term in case your team is not ready and they age out quickly. I would easily take Smith over Williams.

Of those two, Smith or Waddle, who do you favor more. I have concerns about Smith’s weight, but read an article saying his weight hasn’t shown up as a detriment so far. I have Ruggs buyers remorse and worry about Waddle being like ruggs.

Both come with risks, but I think Smith's skill set can help carry him. I would take him over Waddle pretty easily. Smith has all the tools and checks all the boxes over and over outside of size.

I'm leaning Smith of those listed, but why not get the #1 player at each of the skill positions when you can? I think taking Lawrence here is definitely a big time option.

Good luck!

I had that though initially, but after digging for information, I feel I can get Fields and Lance in the second.
