Right now?

CD over all and it's not close

WRs bust at really high rates

As a prospect last year?

I'd have him behind Chase and ahead of Bateman/Waddle/Smith (in that order)

But right now he's easily ahead of all

Top WR in the class. I like all three a lot: Lamb, Smith, Chase.

As the #3 option in Dallas, I'm not sure we saw anything in 2020 to suggest Lamb is a lock for much. I'd be fine sticking with my priors on him relative to the 2021 crop of receivers: Chase > Lamb > the rest.

Interesting views. As a Cowboy fan I was extremely happy with how CeeDee played his rookie year, but given Dak just got a long term deal I don't know if that's necessarily good for CeeDee (FF wise) because Dak is known to throw it around to the open receiver more than target the WR1 as much as most other QB's do. So that could lead to inconsistency as far as FF numbers go.

I'm also not a college football guy, but it's hard to pass on Chase after seeing his college tape. I just wish he had played last year because there's always the concern he might have lost his flare for the game, as he was peaking then stopped playing. Or am I looking at it wrong?

I think the fact that Lamb put up decent numbers as the WR3 in Dallas without a competent QB is all I need to know to have him well ahead of any WR that hasn’t taken an NFL snap.

I'm making trade offers for CeeDee that exceed any value I would pay for a draft pick that would guarantee me the top WR of the 2021 class. CeeDee is a rocket heading for the top and as reliable a gambit for annual WR1 tier as any other, in a league with Jefferson & AJ Brown. In fact, in Dynasty I'd take Lamb over Jefferson. If others feel differently, great, let's do the trade!
QBs: Patrick Mahomes, Trey Lance, Tua Tagovailoa
RB: Jonathan Taylor, Joe Mixon, Saquon Barkley, JK Dobbins, James Conner, Travis Etienne, Tony Pollard, Brian Robinson.
WR: Ja'Marr Chase, A.J. Brown, Deebo Samuel, Jaylen Waddle, Chris Godwin, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Chase Claypool, Chris Olave, Odell Beckham, Josh Palmer
TE: George Kittle, T.J. Hockenson, Taysom Hill, Trey McBride, Isaiah Likely
PK: Nick Folk
(IDPs, start two per week per position):
DL: Danielle Hunter, Myles Garrett, Alex Highsmith, Aidan Hutchinson, Chase Young,
LB: Roquan Smith, C.J. Mosley, Logan Wilson, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoa
DB: Derwin James, Jeremy Chinn, Xavier McKinney, Jalen Pitre

* Ten team league started in 2014.
** 40 player roster, 30 Keepers per season.
*** Red denotes 2022 draft pickups.

Love Lamb and all, but this is crazy talk. I would rank him second behind Chase

this is crazy talk
Maybe so. Maybe the dynasty WR5 (as ranked by this site) will do better than the WR6. Maybe a rookie whose franchise isn't even known yet is a sure better bet than the first guy. Or maybe not. But it's not crazy to make our own assessments of skill and situation and, gasp, come up with different conclusions than those of others. It must be crazy that Chase's dynasty ADP is a full round behind that of Lamb's, if that's how we view differing points of view.

Opinions about future events neither of us know yet aren't crazy. Exalting your own ratings by calling a stranger's crazy might well be, um, would crazy be a word for that?

These forums would be better if people felt confident enough in their own opinions to not feel the need to put down those of others. They'd likely have more and better participation, too.

My post was it is crazy talk to trade Lamb for Jefferson. I will rephrase to say that is a bold take.

This is my logic, as well. Lamb showed me enough, as much as I love and believe in Chase, that I will take the combo of already somewhat proven (to as reasonable of an extent as was possible given last year’s circumstances) talent and great situation over the “unknown” - since both probably have similar upsides as players. Lamb at least showed me he most likely won’t bust. I’ll take that floor over an unknown, since guys who can’t possibly bust.... bust every year.

Whoa whoa whoa!! Though shalt not have differing options! Don’t you know this is a new age? If you disagree with someone, you sir are wrong and shall be cancelled accordingly!

But seriously, I agree with you. I actually really like JJ, just like Lamb more. JJ and chase are closer for me, but I would take JJ right now just bc he proved it last year.
