I loved Ty Johnson as a prospect and thought he really jumped off the screen. But it's concerning that it took this many injuries (& roster turnover w/ Bell) for him to see a meaningful role on such a terrible offense.

OP, I would trade him for a 3rd if you can

The Jets signed Ty Johnson Oct 2nd, the day after he was released by Detroit. Was the expectation that he start the very next week for the Jets? If not, there is not that much disconcerting that it has taken him this long to be given a meaningful role, he did have an increasing role prior to Gore's injury.

I am not sure what is soooo exciting about a 3rd round pick, specially in the weak looking 2021 draft class. It doesn't matter how he got into his situation, he got onto the field and produced. The Jets RB situation is wide open, and I do not think the Jets will prioritize the RB position in the draft next year. I would hold and hope the lottery pick turns into a useable fantasy RB.
