For all of those involved in two of the most intriguing threads currently in the dynasty league discussion section I couldn’t help but to create a thread to bring these two rookies side by side for comparison and discussion. The over arching question is the “who do you think is the better deal in dynasty?” but the sub-topics that I also want to discuss within that are
Who do you believe will be the better dynasty asset moving forward?
Which player do you believe will net the best profit from their initial investment?

Re: James Robinson or Antonio Gibson
I would rather gamble on Gibson long term and I think you may get more for Robinson now.

Re: James Robinson or Antonio Gibson
I think you'll see their season/career arcs progress inversely - where Gibson's value will slowly increase, and Robinson's will be a slow fade. I'm mostly basing this opinion on talent.
Re: James Robinson or Antonio Gibson
I'll take Robinson he's looked legit for two weeks now
Re: James Robinson or Antonio Gibson
2 weeks is a VERY small sample size. I think their career trajectorys will be very different a year down the road. IN the dynasty context, I'll take Gibson all day over Robinson. If I'm in a big money redraft and in it for the short term, I'd lean toward Robinson.

Re: James Robinson or Antonio Gibson
I just traded Robinson for an early 2021 2nd. I don't think his value will get much higher than this.

Re: James Robinson or Antonio Gibson
I traded Gibson for Robinson in a league where I am contending.
In retrospect I think it was a hasty and I should have held Gibson

Re: James Robinson or Antonio Gibson
This one to me is very situational. Gibson is the higher upside pick in the long term and likely he didn't cost all that much as a rookie pick. I'd be holding tight to him for now as I think his value still has a way to go. Robinson on the other hand is likely at his ceiling, or at least very close, so you then have to decide where your team sits in terms of contention. I have him on a contending team and I am set to hold him and ride him while CMC is down and probably through to the end of the season. He cost me nothing so I am content to get a year of production and see where the offseason takes us. However, if you're not a contender then I think now is a good time to sell. Aim for a back end 1st or high 2nd or target a swap for an underperforming rookie.

I'd rather have Robinson on a contender. I roster Gibson, and am not overly hopeful about his production over the next few years.ItsHandsomeDave wrote: ↑Wed Sep 23, 2020 5:23 pm I traded Gibson for Robinson in a league where I am contending.
