And here comes Damien Williams to Chicago. His dick is out and ready to pee on the David Montgomery parade.

can't remember what game it was, back end of last season, he was in space twice and his attempts at juking defenders were laughably bad and ineffective. he can do a bit of everything, but he isn't very good at anything. his volume is what makes him a good fantasy asset, but that won't last long (and not because of damien williams).

Serious question:

Is there anyone who's changed their opinion on Montgomery since he was drafted?

Seems like his supporters still like him, his haters will always hate.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

My opinion of him moderately rose this season.

It's more than my view of Jacobs collapsed. Even before Drake the guy is just not the special 1st round talent he was billed to be

Yeah, my view of Montgomery hasn't changed so much as of Jacobs. The argument that he could handle the workload though he was never given the opportunity in college really resonated with me.

i'm not his biggest fan, but he has returned the value of the pick he likely went for. i wasn't sure he would have.
i still don't think he's anything special though.

I was just starting to like him until they signed "The Points Per Touch God" and ruined everything.

He fell for me after his rookie season, then he rose back up to where I had him around the draft after this season... So still a "hater" I guess but he at least recouped whatever little value I had on his talent.

I wasn’t a huge fan of either guy pre-draft, as neither was a great athlete and Jacobs didn’t garner a huge workload in college, but also thought Jacobs draft capital and lack of depth chart competition, plus his pass catching chops, would lead to him being a three down back. Vegas’ usage of him has been inexplicable.

Montgomery fell in the draft and went to a team with a capable satellite back in Cohen. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Montgomery’s breakout coincided with Cohen’s injury.

At this point, I guess you have to hold Jacobs. I might look to sell Montgomery.

Both have been decent to solid dynasty picks based on hit rate and how short some careers are. I still prefer Jacobs but either is a good RB2 on any roster.
