Woods Vs Godwin

Postby gman6199 » Fri Jul 05, 2019 11:13 am

In a 10 team dynasty league with 1-pt PPR and 3 WR’s playing who would you rather have? Please explain why? Thanks for the help.

I'm extremely high on Godwin but this is Woods. He has improved his last couple years and seems primed for another good year in a top offense. He is not that old either.

Woods. More proven. Only 27. Godwin is getting a ton of hype around here but he's still relatively unknown at this point.

Woods. The Godwin fan club on the site is a bit too high on him imo.

It was tougher than I thought, but I would probably still go with Godwin. Kupp will be back and eating into Woods’ targets. Godwin should garner a greater role and I suspect similar production between the two over the next year or two, but I’ll take the youth.

Woods' numbers last year were better when Kupp was playing than they were when he wasn't.

Thanks for beating me too it. Was just having this conversation last weekend. It's a false narrative. It was actually Cooks that improved.

I'll go Woods all day. He has been very consistent on the Rams.
Godwin so far is all projected greatness based on metrics. I am skeptical of him. I would love to buy low to have a share or two, but his price tag is way higher than I am willing to go.
In both startups I did this off season he went right after Kupp in 5th round and before AR15, Landry, Boyd, and Mike Williams.

It’s a bit of a small sample size, but fair enough I guess. My concern would be that the offense as a whole kind of fell apart for a stretch with Gurley gone as well. Not sure Woods’ drop off with Kupp gone is indicative of much of anything.

Yeah I don't think it means much other than the narrative out there that Woods only had a good year because Kupp was injured is false.

Woods is one of the best values in dyno. Everyone in my league goes after the unproven young guys, and if I offered Woods for Godwin in my leagues, they’d all laugh in my face and ask for another first rounder on top, which is ludicrous. Meanwhile, Woods quietly gets a ton of targets and will likely outperform Godwin this season again imo. I certainly think Godwin gets to that level, but until we actually see it, you’re betting on that panning our over a really nice value in woods. This is a close valuation but I go woods. Woods is still young as previously stated.
