I think Brown is a better overall player but will be tied to Mariota for the foreseeable future which is not great. I would gamble on Hardman because of opportunity.

Aj Brown is the better player by a large margin and I think hardman will be overlooked this year. Too raw

Talent = AJ Brown; Situation = Hardman. I still prefer Brown though.

Talent wise iI would go with Brown. However he has three big limiting factors:
(1) Tenn is a run first offense
(2) Mariota needs to stay healthy and improve as a passer
(3) Where does Brown fall in the pecking order? Cory Davis, Dion Lewis, Humphries and Walker will all be taking up targets and receptions.

IMO and unless these issues change favorably in Brown’s favor I really don’t see him making much of an impact until much later. AJ Brown is like the other Brown: both are talented but in a less then favorable situation.

not really, this is his last chance to impress as a QB rather than just as an athlete.
sure, he could be tied to something even worse in the future, no doubt about that.

i'd still take the WR over the runner.

do not overthink this. AJ.

Had AJ not fallen to Tennessee, he'd likely be a consensus top 3 pick. IMO he's actually the most talented WR in this class. He's smart with great route running so he'll get on the field early. Things are unpredictable. For all we know, Mariota could have a great/breakout year and sustain CD and AJ. Or he could be gone next year and they bring in someone else who can get them the ball. Yes they are run first, for now. But they didn't invest a top 10 pick a couple years ago and a second rounder this year to not get those two guys dynamically involved.

Is anyone concerned with AJ Brown reminding them of another very similar WR from Ole Miss who was the "consensus" top 3 rookie pick?
I want to like AJ Brown, but he has questions on creating seperation, not good for a WR. That and the stench of Laquon Treadwell scares me.

I'm leaning Hardman here.

I thought this was Antonio after just reading title. Might want to change that to AJ Brown in title.

I agree with others....Brown on talent, but Hardman on situation. I try to draft on talent if I can.

Depends on your team, I'd say....if you have the ability to take a flier b/c your roster is already solid and has depth...then maybe Hardman is the way to go.

However, if I'm trying to rebuild my roster or strengthen it, I'd go AJB.

Agree 100%. AJ by a large margin. Had tyreek not been tyreek and opened up a hole in KC offense would we really be talking about Hardman even in the high second round? I don’t think so. Plus, at this rate I wouldn’t be so sure that tyreek doesn’t play this year, in which case mecole’s value absolutely plummets. AJ Brown is arguably the top wr in this draft and things change fast. While mariota is not Big Ben, I recall not too long ago when we were talking about juju as a late first round pick because the Steelers had too many playmakers, and that included AB and leveon. Does Tennessee REALLY have that many playmakers after Corey Davis, who he himself has not yet broken out either? AJ Brown is talented enough to put everyone else on the Tennessee offense in his rear view mirror, and the only reason this discussion is being had is because people are so against mariota to the extreme. AJ Brown talent will prevail, and I have little doubt about it.

Metcalf reminds me more of Treadwell than AJ does. This is AJ for me and not really close . I have been saying it on here he may be the WR in this class with the least amount of question marks on things he can control.

Does Hardman really have a better situation than Brown? Sure, Brown has Mariota as his QB, but being the #2 option on a bad offense is still better than being no option or something like the 5th option on a good offense.
