Harry or Metcalf

Postby ColtsRocker1 » Sat Jun 01, 2019 5:26 pm

I'm sure this has been debated for a while, but I do not see one with the caveat - Non-ppr league.

Who would you go with and why?

Harry will be good with Brady, but isn't Brady at the tail end of his career?

Metcalf is a beast and Wilson is still going strong.

Most people like Harry over Metcalf - what am I missing?

Both have a solid landing spot and opportunity but I would rather have Harry. Metcalf has had injury issues and his tape is very inconsistent.

It's Harry because of the Patriots system and injury risk with Edelman (at age 33, and potential lost of step). Tape wise, I think Metcalf is better, but I don't know how much volume he will get.

harry is very talented and the safe pick especially to contenders looking for immediate production. Dk is much more risky but his ceiling is thru the roof. I’m impatient, I’ll take harry.

Metcalf has awful agility and inconsistent hands. He'll hit a couple of homeruns barring any serious injuries he has, but he'll still be inconsistent. Especially w/ SEA losing baldwin, locket is really the only other threat, if metcalf became an issue doubling him w/ a high safety would completely shut him down.

Harry is more well rounded, he doesnt have crazy speed or the best routes but his hands are really good and the system will allow him to run open, not to mention his ability for RAC yardage. I think his "separation issue" is a little exaggerated, he's physical enough to get off any press and has good enough hands for the contested balls.

For me it all comes down to production. In the one season Metcalf was healthy he was outproduced by Brown by a wide margin. All the while Harry has done nothing but produce since he stepped foot on campus.

Metcalf may have had a blazing 40 time but Harry isn’t a slouch either in the athletic department. And Metcalf has also been injured twice with one of the serious.

I think for me it's:

Harry
AJB
Metcalf

If I'm picking in the late/later 1st and Metcalf falls to me, cool, I'll take the risk at that price point but Harry and AJ are much "safer" options to go with.

pretty even for me. Harry is viewed as a more complete WR, but I think D-Kalf is going to surprise a lot of folks on the upside. I think Seattle is a sneaky-good short + long term landing spot for him. Wilson + Carroll are going to maximize his talents. I think the Pats lackluster track record of developing WR's coupled with their maniacal focus on spreading the ball around mutes Harry's start.

For the relative costs, gimme D-Kalf.
