Butler or Isabella

Postby wickerkat1212 » Tue May 28, 2019 2:44 pm

In my 12-man, 1 ppr league I think Butler or Isabella could fall to me at 2.04. Both are going at about that spot. Who do you like better in this offense? Who would you take there. Both have strengths and weaknesses that have them pretty close IMO. Fitz and Kirk are still the starters, but Fitz is getting old. The rest of the WRs don't scream starter to me.

Thoughts?

Unless you mean Emmanuel.
Philosophy: a high ceiling is better than a high floor.

Relative dynasty newcomer, but six time league champion in other formats (despite a 10 year hiatus), most proud of the 2018 NFFL (16-team, TD only, 30th anniversary) League Championship.

I was in this exact same spot at the 2.3 and could not split enough hairs between the two so I went with Harris. Butler and IsaBella went with the next two picks. If I had to choose I think I would go Isabella in that offense. Also, concerns as to what the nfl scouts saw that made Butler fall.

I think the scouts saw that he doesn't get separation. Maybe they feel he is a finished product in that regard. I see him as the next Dez/Julio type.

In ppr Isabella seems the easy choice to me. I play in a standard league and took him over Butler. I like that he just dominated every level of competition he played. He is a super hard worker and I think the Cards have a plan for him week 1. You will get to know if he is any good in 1 year. If not you can cut bait. But with Butler I think you will have to wait a whole year just to begin your evaluation of him.

I'd say Isabella, 2 round difference is pretty big IMO. Not saying Butler doesn't have a real shot at out producing him but it's a big red flag when the fantasy community has Butler as a top 3-5 WR and then he doesn't get drafted until the 4th as the WR14 off the board.
