Young TE - Howard vs Njoku vs Engram

Postby Dynasty19 » Sat May 11, 2019 11:22 am

If you were going to trade away Kelce for a younger TE that’s NOT named Kittle. Who do y’all think has more dynasty value moving forward?

Engram - tied to Eli for now and giants bad offense

OJ Howard - in a stronger offense but brate is signed through 24

Njoku - Good up and coming offense but so many players to feed.
10 Team - Full PPR
QB - Wentz, Mayfield, Carr
RB - Chubb, Bell, Conner, Lindsay, McKinnon
WR - Adams, OBJ, AJ Brown, McLaurin, Cooks, Crowder, Watkins
TE - Engram, Goedert, Howard, Knox

Njoku out of that list for me, but another option you should consider is Hunter Henry.

Engram has show the most so far and now has the most opportunity with OBJ gone. I can easily see why some say OJ Howard, because if things were equal he'd be the easy choice. However, there are a lot more mouths to feed in TB and OJ has gone down to injury already. I'd say Engram then OJ... with Njoku being a distant 3rd

Engram. He'll run routes 95% of the time, OJH is a better talent but will run routes 80% of the time.

Howard or Engram would be my choice. Njoku is too inconsistent and hasn't shown much. Now a very crowded offence in Cleveland

Howard is by far the best player of the 3. His metrics so far line up perfectly with all of the guys that broke out as elite TEs, whereas Engram/Njoku do not meet any of them.

Engram hasn't shown the most of anything other than being flooded with targets (that he performed historically poorly with).

Before getting hurt OJH was actually on pace to outscore Engram's "big" rookie year last year but the crazy part is he was doing it on about 40% of the targets.

Give me the guy that is a 900/5 player with limited targets and has the upside to be Kelce with a high target rate over the guy that needs crazy volume to put up 900/5 and is worthless with limited volume.

Howard > Engram > Njoku

I personally feel Howard has a lot of positive offensive opportunity wherein Engram has slightly less, and Njoku is really behind other star players in Cleveland

Engram>Howard>Njoku. I think Howard has the greatest ceiling of the 3 long term, but dude can't stay healthy. Engram has greatest win now appeal, and should get a ton of targets with OBJ gone. Truth is, I think Engram is gone after his rookie contract runs out. Njoku has great talent and is the youngest of the bunch, but lots of mouths to feed in CLE.

What is the gap between Howard and Kelce?
