I think in a normal year I'd say mid-first, but my sense is that 2019 pick values are depressed. In 1QB PPR, how high of a 2019 pick would you be willing to give up for Boyd?

So maybe 2019 pick values aren't as depressed as I thought. I wasn't sure I needed to go down even as far as 1.08 on the poll.

Mid 1st range. I could see it higher too if someone does not like the class/landing spots
Re: Boyd = What 2019 Pick?
As someone who cut Boyd after the Bengals drafted Ross, I think I'd want to see another year of consistency before trading a pick that high for him.

Re: Boyd = What 2019 Pick?
How high? 1.08? You'd need to see another year of consistency from someone who was WR15 last season to give up Parris Campbell or Hollywood Brown? That's kind of absurd. We've seen 0 years of consistency from the rookies, and particularly in the back half of the first it's a bit of a crap shoot that we ever will. Sorry, I went back and re-read the OP. My brain just goes to 2QB/SF mode automatically lol. In a 1 QB league, yes I'd probably give up as high as 1.06, but I'd also add Sanders, Montgomery, and Samuel to that list.

Re: Boyd = What 2019 Pick?
Yes, I think I would want to see one more year out of him, I don't think thats absurd. Am I little bitter? For sure. But I don't think he has too much more upside (if any) than what we saw. He also had a much better first half last year. And while I'm almost always an advocate of taking proven talent over someone who's never played in the NFL, I do also think sometimes you need to go after upside and I don't think Boyd is anywhere close to a sure thing. I'd be surprised if he breaks top 20 again. Most people have him ranked as around WR25, but I've seen him also ranked as low WR47.hoos89 wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2019 11:27 amHow high? 1.08? Re: Boyd = What 2019 Pick?
I bought Boyd for the 1.08 this offseason and wouldn’t sell for anything other than a top 3-5 pick this year. We forget that it normally takes WRs a few years to breakout. Boyd had the normal “year 3” breakout. With AJG and Dalton back, remember both were injured 2nd half of the year, I see No reason he can’t duplicate that, or improve upon that. The WR class of 2014 spoiled us with rookie WRs. Boyd has been an off-season target of mine everywhere for a late 1st, especially with this incoming class of rooks
Re: Boyd = What 2019 Pick?
Boyd was WR15 on the year, and WR22 (accounting for byes) from weeks 10 through 15 (bye week 9, out with injury week 16)....so I think you're remembering Boyd's 2nd half a bit worse than it was. Seriously how much more upside do you need from Boyd than "above-average WR2" in order to pay an early- to mid-first in this year's draft?khaos337 wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 5:11 amYes, I think I would want to see one more year out of him, I don't think thats absurd. Re: Boyd = What 2019 Pick?
I answered this question in my previous post. And yes, I think in a SF or 2QB draft (which I admitted already was my mistake in my original post that the OP specifically stated 1QB), I think the top 6 guys (which again, includes Murray and Haskins in a SF/2QB format) all have enough upside that I would want them over Boyd at this point.hoos89 wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 8:18 amBoyd was WR15 on the year, and WR22 (accounting for byes) from weeks 10 through 15 (bye week 9, out with injury week 16)....so I think you're remembering Boyd's 2nd half a bit worse than it was. Re: Boyd = What 2019 Pick?
I think Boyd is much safer than someone like Montgomery, Metcalf or AJ Brown. Maybe one of those guys can overtake him, but I think the bust risk on all of those guys is high. I don't want to give up Boyd for a 40% chance at Corey Coleman or DGB, a 50% chance at Boyd, and a 10% chance at JuJu or Adams.
